Since nothing has really
changed for me, I still find this to be a timely blog. The only difference
between myself now is that I had $60,000 in credit.
Jealousy and Hypocracy (Black
Wednesday 2K5)
Current mood: frustrated
Last night, I can only question
why I went out.
No, I do not have to question,
it was $3.00 Red Bull mixers at Big Al's. Of course the night was suppose
to be a little more constructive. I figured I would bug the bartenders at
SOP's, but damn this holiday bullshit.
Blue Magoo was playing at
SOP's. They are a great jam band, worth seeing, but the people...well
I knew I would have to eventually deal with them at my final destination,
so I skipped out.
Also, I cannot stand crowds
for concerts I guess. Tough to get to the bar, you cannot just chill.
I mean, is that not that what you are suppose to do at a jam band? Sit back
and hope for a blunt to pass you by (I don't buy narcotics, but if it's
there).
I guess you take the sweet
with the sour. The price for my regular parking spot. That and paying
cover at Al's.
The purpose of the night
was eventually dismissed when the Holiday killed the drink special.
For being a depressed person, I always try to think optimistically.
Good things usually happen when I drink tequila.
A side from babysitting my
best friend's ex and dealing with all the young pups who don't understand
that every night is for drinking just not holidays, I had an alright
time.
Bullshit with the cynical
dancers, try my best to flirt with the cutest one, throw an apartment
pitch at the most mean spirited dancer (no, I guess I will never learn
that these girls are impossible to live with). That was an unusual for
a busy night, but I guess most of the girls think like me when it comes
to the typical downtown dopes.
I look at it like this, a
lot of these girls cannot stand people, but they love the challenge of
dealing with them. Whether they would admit or not is a different story.
Every stripper's best friend
is what my ex-roommate would declare me. She would go as far and say my ring
gear was more stripper than theirs.
The downer of the night is
when I see the cutest girl at the club who just appreciates me to bullshit with was being pulled aside by the crowd that her boyfriend runs
with.
Sorry, The Supersuckers just
came up on my random track: "I know people change, and sometimes
that's good. And some people don't. When maybe they should."
That was just a buzz kill
because I just thought they were acting like idiots. They were just
jealous pricks demanding attention at her job.
No denying, it is jealousy
on my behalf. Again, why do the asshole's always win?
For me to take a stand and possibly ruin her shit would be more than rude. I am not going to be rude to anyone, but I cannot stand being the nice guy because we all know how they finish.
So, we have jealousy and
hypocrisy. A lot weirder stuff happen to lead to these feeling, but I
got put my six hours in on this holiday.
