The AWESOME Disgruntled's Real Secondary Champion: Part 6

*Blog post started on August 10, 2020.

Perhaps three post a week is too much. It is catching up to my output. On top of that, NinetyForChill.com (Should I go and sit on that Twitter handle?), officially has more blog posts than MainEventoftheDead.com, my primary blog that is meant to encourage assistance with the production of my zombie versus indie wrestler script (If you would like to see a treatment or offer ideas on how to get this project out of development hell, drop me an email at russthebus07@gmail.com).

This means that I will need to slowdown my viewing of "crappy" sub 138-minute flicks. I guess I have my anime expertise to fall back on and plenty of cartoons to watch, but change is hard. With anime being put out in season box sets, it will be easier to lose track of time. Nine to five (six) is my lifestyle now. Those all nighters would be ill-advised.

Things may slow down for me with my vacation next week. Checking out the old stomping grounds, my favorite bars included, should take up so much time, it will just be best to say, "Damn. Guess I will save those posts for next time." That will work, unless I throw in a fight with online trolls who suggest I leave the country, believe that the amendments after 10 did not change the Constitution, and/or are Islamophobic.

Trying to be a bit healthier before my doctor's appointment tomorrow has left me going to bed early opposed to snacking and watching TV. Meaning if I get into a Twitter beef, there goes an evening. It will all be worth it when they willfully silence themselves by blocking me.

There are better victories to be had I know, but having just returned from my appointment with a lot to work on, this fight might be the only thing to keep food from my mouth. A better solution would be to take my writing home. The "doctor" (PA) suggested journaling, but my thoughts for the most part deserve to be heard, hence blogged.

It can add to my frustration since I have to do my damnedest to creatively identify someone as an asshole (who is not an conservative troll) without dropping their name. With that said, I might just have to refer to myself only by gimmick last name so when I break big, no one will track down Ma and Pa Stevens to tell them what was said about them. All that can be said about the appointment is the PA noticing I am stressed the fuck out.

There is no time to be stressed right now. If I want to relax and be forgetful next week, we got to get these blogs in the archive. With only six years left, lets return to my current distraction, the Disgruntled's Real Five-Star Championship.

The 121st Disgruntled's Real Five-Star Champion:(Intercontinental/United States/Philadelphia TV/Baltimore TV/X Division)

TNA X Division Champion SANADA (April 4, 2014 to July 10, 2014)
ROH slipped up when it came to booking Jay Lethal's second reign as TV champion. Lethal would eventually go on to win the World Championship. He would defend each title separately and subsequently lost the TV championship first. It leaves me feeling like the TV championship was just an afterthought.

SANADA would eventually lose the championship to Austin Aries who would surrender it to challenge for TNA's primary championship.

It is all a question of psychology I suppose. Can you build up a title only to let it slip and deem it unimportant when champion also holds a larger title? Or, do you distinguish that it is not equal to the world title but essential to becoming THE champion?

Why Freedom to Drink Trumps Freedom to Bear Arms (or Be a Dick like @original_shroom)

*Blog post started on May 26, 2020.

So things are about to get back to "normal". The retailer has not gotten back to me and, with new social distancing guidelines, I do not think that will be a bad thing. It would be greatly appreciated to still be furloughed there while I need to start getting use to waking up at 8:15 a.m. again. What will I do without those extra three hours of sleep?

It means I cannot drink as much, but with things settling down, the parental assistance should not be relied upon so heavily (despite I will only be making the same amount of money) as it has been. If I need an anti-anxiety aide, there is about two weeks of edibles to fall back on. The only problem with THC gummies is that they will end your evening. When they kick in, the gaming shuts down. Booze is a little more manageable.

Before you go on the, "Alcohol is not an anti-anxiety med," stance, let me ask if you have mastered your alcoholism? Since I have left very few personal downer posts on social media in the past six years, I have successfully made the only suitable nickname for it giggle juice. Still, moderation or abstaining from it is best. The only reason I was never straight edge was that I wanted the freedom to drink.

That statement makes me feel like I should relate a little to the lockdown protesters. "We have the freedom to not where mask or social distance." Is that not the same as the hypocrisy alcohol, pot, and abortion being available while church and temple are deemed nonessential? I think we have abused the option to be an asshole.

The only time I approved of the, "Mama told me I could be anything I wanted when I grew up, so I became an asshole" shirt was when those folks were my friends and we were only give each other shit, in bars. As it turns out, the statement on the shirt has no value because you are not an asshole when you are a decent bar patron. No politics or religion. Reminds me of my post "Facebook Should Be the Ultimate Bar, So Know the Rules".

Anyhow, as long as I am not behind the wheel (which some of my friends would argue that you would be even safer), my drunkenness is not a safety concern unless you want to make it your concern. You are already being an asshole if you are not wearing a mask and you are making my safety a concern.

With these enemies on the state on my mind (They love old documents but not their fellow human.), the only real heat that I got from the assholes I called out in "Infrequent Online Daters and Right-Wing Twitter Haters (like @ryan_secord)" was I am an asshole for saying they could not have opinions. I obviously did not say that. What was said was that they did not actually have opinions or at the very least, they were not valid.

I would say that @TheLibertyAmb Matthew Cobb may have proved my point with his comment:
Next time you tag me in something without substance to it to get attention you're getting blocked.
He had the character count to warrant a comma in that sentence, but that is the grammar professional in me. Which should have been my excuse when @klesley77 tried to state that I had a problem because I had three accounts. Realizing there are typos is how I remembered there could be a genuine use for the second account.
Excuse me, what is the point of immediately insulting a politician/activist that you do not agree with besides triggering the left or mentally jerking off the right? Is it to know you aren't the only asshole. (A grammar error on the retweet officially warrants the third account.) Thank for telling me the questions I needed to include.
His response:
There isn't one. It's why I don't tag anybody unless I've got an actual point to make.
If that does not scream you are just a hateful piece of excrement, what else does? You want to be an asshole. I am a cunt for letting everyone know that you are an asshole? If your proud of your aspirations, what harm am I doing? If anything, I am further reinforcing the pathetic nature of your life.

You could say my actions trigger the right. If I truly standby liberal values, I should not punch down. My argument is that I am making my own statement and challenging these assholes to be better than they are. The first time I pulled these trolls into a fight, the first response was a person who stated why they thought that way. Because of that, I had not mentioned them again. Did I agree with their approach? No, but at least they were willing to stand up for their point (or lack there of according to Matthew Cobb).

I was hoping that I would have something more fun to talk about than people the FBI should be tracking in the event that Brit Hume and Sean Hannity indoctrinates them to commit acts of terror. Sorry I did not watch a 90-minute movie without Mike, Bill and Kevin making jokes over it (I do not think they really appreciated Brandon Lee's effort in "Laser Mission".). After AEW's "Double or Nothing", wrestling talk should be right up my alley.

Sadly, Hana Kimura's suicide is relevant when it comes to this blog. People went out of their way to be awful to someone and instead of lashing out at those who had no business being involved in her life, she decided to end her suffering where it only affected her, and sadly those who cared about her. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ilhan Omar definitely receive that kind of vitriol, but they are at least in a position to have a support system that is beyond anything your normal person would have.

The right-wing fucks who pointlessly (per Matthew Cobb) attack them would probably say, "Toughen up snowflake!" They are not going to suggest counseling because that will cost them a few cents a month. Why do we need to be tougher when you can act like the martyr you worship or the founding fathers you claim to represent (sans the slavery of course)? You would rather people without compassion be gone just because what they want (and what this country needs) inconveniences you. These assholes preach evil in the name of freedom and call it patriotism.

This was actually a response I had when Alecia (Band & Stand) @aleciavaught75 when I asked, "Why would you want to endanger your fellow human who are created equal?" based solely on the concept of the Constitution. "Why show a lack of brains that the founders hope you would have?" Of course I did state the founders did not intend for her and anyone of color to have such rights.
Aww, you hate America so much, Move. We don't need any more Anti-American Hate in our GREAT country (Surrounded by 70 flag emojis).
I chose to say, "You seem to hate Americans if you choose to risk their lives for your freedom instead of lobby for a way to help them." To which she responded with a meme asking me to educate myself. Really made me want to go with my gut reaction and tell her if HER America was THE America, I would love to watch it burn (and perhaps participate). But I am compassionate, so I will be there to pick them up with a livable wage, so I guess suggesting a scorched pile of conservative doctrines is an okay thing to say.

Infrequent Online Daters and Right-Wing Twitter Haters (like @cb27words).

*Blog started on May 14, 2020.

Lockdown seems to have finally stagnated, and I do not think that is too bad. Yes, I am working an essential job (It is essential enough that having a third banker present would be nice. Old people calling in expecting full percentage points on investments at community banks or asking about their balances on a daily sometimes hourly basis can make taking care of the two drive thru lanes tough at times. At least 85% are decent enough folks.), so I have some sort of routine.

My ex is trying to develop a routine and get her future in order, so me time has become a thing again. It is worth being constantly questioned about why I am not depressed about moving out. Her cat is not going to be around, so I am just trying to focus on the positive. I am going to miss my little brother.

May 15, 2020:

One of my coworkers is trying to finish up a final history paper and there have been a few moments where we have acted like her research team. What I have gathered can be used to promote communism when she asked us to try and find out the literacy rate of Shanghai, China in 1920. No communist party, no concern for the lower classes, hence not even Google could not come up with that answer. At least there were those looking for a solution. Determining whether or not she should refer to the citizens of the U.S.S.R as Soviets or Russians did not require that much effort.

As she is writing, she said she might just go back and change the thesis, so her fellow student asked her if she liked to start writing and then determine the thesis as the message is being flushed out. It made me realize that is pretty much how I write without a movie review to post about. Which lead me to determine that I am not going to have one for May 18th and that I better keep the mood light instead of composing 40 miles of bad road to get to questionable 80's horror. Sad, because after my anti-right rant, I could have gone with "@adampiersen's Twitter Galaxy of Terror" as a title.

When it comes to headaches, the mildest is this new-fangled online dating game. My mom tells me my biological little brother found someone on Match.com. I responded by asking, "which one of them is paying for it?" We are in lockdown. Dating is not really feasible at this time. But with SnapChat and everyone wanting to communicate via that now, it is just difficult to measure out if you are doing too little or too much.

I am one who does not need constant communication with people (Which my ex fears she is losing a friend after we move away from each other. I am not abandoning my fluffy little brother.), but once I get a streak going, I am at a lost when they break it. At the retailer, at the bars, what I have observed is the millennials are obsessed about keeping them going. This does excuse the one I am focused on most since she is a fellow member of Gen-X, but she was the one showing off the goods. On the bright side, I have more and more pics of myself to post on my Twitter feed(s) (@russthebus, @maineventzombie, @catbusruss [to squat on the handle and use to retweet notifications from my main account {The on meant to promote the production of my B-movie "Main Event of the Dead" a pro-wrestling zombie comedy. Email russthebus07@gmail.com for a story treatment or suggestions on how to get the project out of development hell.} because it seems early too have 10,000 tweets] to assure the hateful that I am more real and more brave than they are.

The true migraine is taking the fight to conservative Twitter trolls. That can take its toll. Right wingers who are failed wordsmiths make it tough to know when to just step away from the "dialogue". A constant tactic when I call out assholes who use their feed to applaud Donald Trump for picking on Asians is to throw up a race card meme when I asked how it is not racist to track AOC and Ilhan Omar just to tell them to shut up while ignoring Elizabeth Warren's tweets. I questioned, "Is it a win that at least they are not being sexist?", you eventually get a sand in the mangina comment.

They seem like they are out to disprove any acknowledgement that they may not be so bad. Or they are correcting me and want me to know that they hate anyone who is not male that refuses to be submissive. Are they are demonstrating their dedications to the Constitution circa 1789 when sexism and racism were not even considered?

And then they say that its the left that spread the hate. You provide them an opportunity to be compassionate, and its fuck those people. At least that was when I responded to @laddielone's meme by juxtaposing their (I do not want to assume the pronouns) profession (high school athletics coach) with the anonymity Twitter provides them.

Surely their views cannot be offensive and that a patriot like themselves feel like they need not earn recognition as they have no media to prove they are even real. It cannot possibly be because they are an objectively hateful or envious individual whom, if they chose to post a pic of themselves instead of bitching about politics, would risk losing their livelihood of mentoring children. I could go on about how I could find their employer after sifting five months of bullshit, but that just feels petty.

If you are curious, these anonymous Twitter users make up at least 80% of the commenters. These lazy shits will not take the time to post a generic white person clip art of "themselves" at least once on their account to try and camouflage their foul scent. Or is that how Twitter determines who the bots are?

I do not know about you, but I would take dealing with 10 bots on Twitter than giving a single true hate mongers a platform. At least with a bot, you know it cannot feel empathy. Providing homes for sociopaths should not be Twitter's concern. That is the responsibility of the Republican party be it Senate or House seats via voter restrictions of subsidies to farmers to keep them alienated from the urban dwellers. And with the agriculture industry being predominantly white, they set politics and fashion that the trailer park residents will emulate.

90-min. Prime Video: "Forbidden World" Away from the Bernie Bros

*Blog started on April 11, 2020.

News is still centered around the pandemic, so despite my shortened work days, it has not been overly difficult to catch up on the news websites. Last night, I tried to distract myself from going after the #NeverTrumpNeverBiden movement to attack the first three conservative Twitter users who went after Reprentative Ilhan Omar for trying to catch the nation up with the rest of the Western World. The social media platform maybe too diluted now because it use to be when I would attack hashtags (not users) like #PatriotsUnited, #Trump, #Jesus, I received a lot of hate for it. Now, these cunts are just ignoring it. It must be all about your follower count I suppose.

Too bad this blog is going to conclude with a movie review. It seemed fitting to find a place to start listing the names and profile information of the deplorables I found in every blog post. Then again, that might just encourage people to continue being the worst the United States has to offer who are not an offspring of Donald Trump whos life revolves around kissing Daddy's ass. I am calling you out Baron.

Maybe I have lost some of my passion for politics. Acquaintances from Morton are sharing and reacting positively to my Facebook posts. What does it take to get unfollowed? I guess my tolerance for bullshit is gone. This week has led me to unfollow anyone implying that they are not going to vote for Joe Biden.

It all ends up being a conspiracy by the baby boomers. Millennials were given everything growing up, so they feel entitled. Thus, they need to get their way or no one gets their way. Their parents were playing the long game. Be pushed around and underappreciated by your crotch fruit so that these twats feel like the world owes them just as much as you. Hillary Clinton fairly beat Bernie Sanders, so they voted against all of their interests instead of protecting some of them via Jill Stein or Donald Trump.

Sadly, they seem to be idiots who Sanders' free education would be wasted on. These kids are acting like they have not learned and will burn this current world down by letting Trump win again. The tactic this time is probably skipping the polls which would be worse than voting for a third party. If we can at least win the Senate, Trump would be effectively powerless and Ruth Baders Ginsburg could finally relax.

The rode to hell is paved with good intentions. How else did you expect me to transition this rant to a Roger Corman movie? He knew that we needed "Alien" and "Star Wars" to feature over-the-top gore and female nudity, but what we got was a cinematic purgatory in "Forbidden World.

Forbidden World (1982)

Being awoken to battle some space pirates, Troubleshooter Mike Colby's robot custodian SAM-104 advises him that he has received a new assignment. The two are to head to planet Xarbia to contain a research experiment that may have gone wrong or horrendously right. Dr. Hauser and his team have been trying to develop a new food source to solve all galactic hunger concerns by creating organisms with Proto-B DNA. It seems a noble cause, but because it is playing God, they are isolated on this deep space planet.

This new DNA's metamorphic nature puts into question who is actually playing the all mighty on high. The latest mutation decided to kill all of other test subjects before cocooning itself in the lab. Its violent nature leaves Colby believing that it needs to be terminated, but Hauser and his primary assistants want to see how this plays out...even after it attacks the janitor and escapes the lab.

Technically, the cleaning guy is still alive, just dissolving into protein with a pulse. That sounds like a fate worse than death, so the majority of the crew is ready to side with Colby's intentions. The minority seems a little to eager to further study the events, so everyone will eventually be on the same page, but will they have enough numbers to battle the large-toothed, intelligent insectoid that it has become?

Roger Corman's importance to cinema should make his last name an entry in the Oxford Dictionary. Aside that word should be the primary poster for "Forbidden World". It tells you the film knows what you want, but this is still a deal with the devil.

A few months ago, I had watched the Corman-produced "Galaxy of Terror". It was entertaining enough despite a haphazard story, so I expected this feature to be the same. Aside from the reuse of James Cameron designed sets and overall tackiness, this film lacks the originality of its predecessor, and once we witness the space dog fight (from Corman-produced "Battle Beyond the Starts") and concept of hypersleep, you know you are just settling into a cheap knock off of the biggest sci-fi of the time.

The acting is hindered by everyone trying to be either hip or sexy, with our male cast focusing on being David Carradine hot, so it feels like 2000's indie wrestling. Its special effects are all around laughable with an Ed Wood equivalent monster as the villain and a robot that just misses the mark. There are some good gore effects too start, but it all just becomes a mess of red and transparent gelatin by the end of the flick.

Despite all of its flaws, it does show the beauty of a good Corman production. In trying to differentiate itself from what it is ripping off, possible inspiration for classic films are present. The monster's development is very much like 1995's metamorphic alien film "Species", and the demise of the beast is very similar to the end of "Species 2". It attempts to improve on some of the sequences from "Alien", which you have to applaud the effort, and in turn offers up devices that may have been used in that film's sequels.

If anything beyond the production values can be said to have aged poorly, it is all the female nudity, but I can defend that. "Game of Thrones" first season is classic television and it shows us that sexposition is still a valid storytelling device.

With some Clark & Sheffield Vodka, Kahlua and Meijer's brand Italian Sweet Crème Coffee Creamer, "Forbidden World" was a fun experience. If you can talk some friends into watching it with you, there are few better celebrations of mediocrity. This is not art, but you will not feel dirty seeing classic films being subverted and perverted. You can accept that is just part of the deal if a flick has been labeled a Roger Corman Cult Classic.

Razzies and MFK: Pro-Wrestling, Cubbies, Video Games

*Blog entry started on February 13, 2020.

I was able to locate another journal with some unpublished works from 2010. Much of the stuff made the Illinois Central College's Harbinger student newspaper, in an edited, almost humorless form. Being the composition book that was dedicated to the script-writing course I dropped, the works could be considered the finality of when I was full of hope.

My return to ICC was based around taking that course, but when it was more worthless exercise than actual creativity, I dropped the course despite my A-level work. This was shortly after my 30th birthday, so midlife crisis bullshit may have also been involved. With that said a fortnight before my 40th, perhaps I should leave that binder in my Domo-kun messenger bag. At least that reminds me I have not looked at Kid Robot in a while.

And after a quick review of the website, I just went and followed them on Instagram. And then I realized that I should have just used Twitter. Then again, no one, even I give a shit about my Instagram, so why mess around with my following to follower ratio on my primary social media? It is definitely better to mock Zuckerberg.

With little to write about, my anxiety is starting to pick up. I have 16 edibles left, but the weather and allergies can make for tough mornings. Has somebody made a decongestant with THC to avoid multiplication of effects?

The better quarter (Eva the Cat will always get half) is doing her best to accommodate my tendencies, but the week can be a bit of a blur for her. Or she is just getting impatient with wrestling from Monday to Wednesday.
You can play video games if you want to.
"Dynamite" is on the DVR.
Wrestling is part of C2E2 this year, and since I have tickets for "Revolution", I must budget to pay for the tickets and hotel accommodations. Sitting on money is not something I am known for doing well. The event falls on my birthday, and typically Dad will cover the expenses because of that, but he is already putting the bill to see the Cubs in London, asking him to cover the con seems a tad pushy.

And since I am not planning on sheltering their daughter all the time in a couple months, I doubt the "wish they were" laws to treat me.

At least I got all the Cubs trip stuff taken care of, aside from a West End itinerary. I braved the first big snowfall of the new year to get my preseason Cubby ink. Last (and only) time I got a preseason Cubs tat, the World Series trophy found a home in Chicago. It looks good and worth my Mom only doing half of my laundry since she wanted me heading back to Champaign before the weather worsened.

If there is anything to worry about the vacation this summer, it is that I am waiting on my passport. Here is to hoping customs does not visit blogs and social media to determine whether or not I am a risk or a poor representative of this once great nation. Good thing for the multiple surnames.

At least let me get my papers, then let Donald Trump get pissy and limit emigration from this liberal state. Would Mom tell Dad to move to Indiana so she can vacation across the pond? I do not want to temp fate, but Trump won four days after the Cubs won, that shit seems like something that can happen.

With how the blog is aligned, I think I still need some more content for this entry. Unfortunately, there have not been the ideal conditions to watch "Smash Cut" with Sasha Grey. It is a pain because I doubt that I will be able to get it back to Netflix before my next DVD cycle resets.

I checked IMDb to see what I was missing, and that resulted in me finding out that "The Godfather of Gore" Herschell Gordon Lewis has a role. Regardless of what "Blood Feast" and "Wizard of Gore" did for the Grindhouse scene, they do not seem to be good flicks. With bad movies on the mind, let me make some predictions for the 40th Annual Golden Raspberry Awards.

40th Annual Golden Raspberry Awards

Worst Reckless Disregard for Human Life and Public Property
Joker: This is not an annual award, and since the Razzies always wants to seem to stick it to some film that may have received too much praise, this is a good chance to do so.
Have I seen any of the nominees? No I have not. The other four nominations just do not seem to have many chances to destroy public property. "Rambo: Last Blood's" finale is a "Home Alone" homage. "Dragged Across Concrete" may destroy plenty, but I do not imagine riots. "Hellboy's" fantasy action will not make you feel it and hauntings are not known for their range, thus it will not be "The Haunting of Sharon Tate".

Adam Sandler for "Uncut Gems": Nine Razzie wins are on his record. This is an award for a performer who should have been nominated for an Oscar this year. Eddie Murphy and Jennifer Lopez were snubbed by the academy as well, but even their Razzie home runs (Worst Actor and Worst Actress of the Decade respectively) cannot catch up to nine singles.

Cats: It is tough to predict because they usually choose a hit to give it to. After the Oscars stunt with James Corden and Rebel Wilson, there is a good chance the film sweeps. "Rambo: Last Blood" and "A Madea Family Funeral" were not bombs, but they were not a "Fifty Shades" or Snyder "DC" film.

Hellboy: I do not think Neil Marshall is going to win director, so if this was a politics-based ballot, I think they give "Hellboy" the award to even things out. Lesser known IP that gets a reasonable push usually wins this anyway ("The Lone Ranger", "Land of the Lost").

Jason Derulo and His CGI-neutered Bulge for "Cats": It was not an election year so bullshit political propaganda was ignored. The awards are going for funny with this one, so this is the obvious choice.

Judi Dench as Old Deuteronomy for "Cats": It is either her or Rebel Wilson from that film, and I think the voters will go mean.

James Corden as Bustopher Jones for "Cats": Bruce Willis could win because of his notoriety. The ballot wants people to know about "Zeroville", so Seth Rogen has a chance.

Anne Hathaway as Karen Zariakas for "Serenity": One Wiki page has her listed as being nominated for this and her role in "The Hustle" another covering the awards does not. (The Official Website has her for both.) There are definitely going to be voters who will want to award both her and "The Hustle" costar Rebel Wilson. There are definitely going to be voters who will want to award her and her "Serenity" costar Matthew McConaughey. Being the constant amongst two sets of voters should carry her to the win.

James Franco as Vikar for "Zeroville": I think this film has to leave with something. The "Cats" sweep will let Franco avoid the director award, but the voters will not let him walkaway scot free.

Fred Durst for "The Fanatic": I thought the "Cats" sweep was sound, but everyone will revel at the chance to say "Fuck you" to Mr. Bizkit.

Cats: It is just the easy, effortless pick.
