Minor League Puck Bunnies and Armchair Parenting

I was going to call it "Minor League Hockey and Minor League Uncle'n", but despite the clicks it could produce, I think minors and uncles should not be in the same statement.

Not quite 20 hours into the work week, and the fantasy football and news have all been caught up on. This means I have to come up with something that seems meaningful to the rest of the world. With the previous week feeling devoted to the lack of girlfriend (I don't like aches, I want the pain all at once), all I got out of those seven days was trying to relate to my seven year-old nephew at the Rivs' home opener.

He was seated between my dad and I, so I had to refrain from commenting about all the familiar faces in the line up. "Returning" to Peoria for the love of the sport (as I rush from my afternoon retail shift to watch them)? Are you sure you are not living here because of an ill-advised night with a puck bunny (thanks Google and Urban Dictionary)?

That would have to be a nightmare scenario for so many people. As a player, you are probably in your late 20's hoping for one last shot at the ECHL. Instead, you end up having a puck fuck with no net minder. As the biscuit basket's parents, you may feel shame that because your daughter is so dim that she thought a Southern Professional Hockey League player was going to make it to the big time. At least there are some groupies who have their thumb on the pulse of music when they start looking for a rocker to support them for the rest of their lives (It is a small some from my experience). If they are not in the AHL, do not go chasing sweaty balls.

That is two blogs in a row with attempted parodies. I really got to focus on writing my Rage Against the Machine's "Killing in the Name of..." knock off. These blogs are still decades behind Weird Al.

When it came to stuff that I could talk about with my nephew, I am only frustrated by my sister's over protective parenting. Damn teacher thinking she knows everything.

A Naïve Coworker:
My parents were teachers and they were great. It is also great because in the summer, they could spend all that time with us.
Me:
Out of area code grandparents?
They went on about how they are obsessed with their niece. I joked about putting 90 miles between me and my sister's spawn. After finding out that my nephew has yet to experience Buffalo wings, my absence is worth considering regret.

Nephew: I am not a chicken guy. I mostly eat vegetables.

The world is going to end with your generation. Facebook is trying to push its cryptocurrency at a federal level. If Trump is reelected, we are going to have to put Ruth Bader Ginsburg in suspended animation and fight the court battles to keep her in it (as she is still of sound mind). At least enjoy 11 herbs and spices. Appreciate parmesan and garlic. Enjoy sweet, yet hot sauces. And feel powerful looming over the stack of remains left in front of you after consuming any lingering essence of their life force.

Then there was not being able to encourage him into cheering the college flunkies' (at least learn from "Super Troopers") in the A&W Chug a Mug competition.

Me: Do you like Root Beer?

Nephew: No.

Me: Have you tried it?

Nephew: Well no.

I can appreciate not letting children have soda, but if there is a tap, they must have root beer. It looks like I will have to bring a gallon of it my next trip home. That will be the real test to determine if they are over parenting.

It is not like the little bugger is not smart. When there was a phantom elbowing call against the Rivermen after a QC Storm twat flopped:

Me: Get that guy a mouth guard!

Nephew: Or a face cage.

Me: Good one.

He does not get clever English from my sister. But otherwise, how much does he know about himself.

Me: Where was that penalty?

Nephew: He pushed him.

Me: Oooh, a shove.

Dad: They cannot do that in Mites.

Me: So when are we going to sign him up in wrestling or karate, despite my lack of fandom for that art?

Nephew: No thanks. I play with the eight year-olds.

Me: You aren't tough until you get floored with a front kick.

Yes, how much do you know about yourself if you have never been in a fight? I guess the moral of this rant is that  I need to abandon trying to get my pro-wrestling zombie comedy "Main Event of the Dead" (but if you have any ideas on how to promote the idea or would like a treatment, email me at russthebus07@gmail.com) off the ground and focus on a direct-to-streaming nihilist children's film about toxic masculinity.

Again, the world is heading towards destruction. If Damon Lindelöf's "Watchmen" has not already shown us enough to back that up that prediction, we might as well start educating them the evils of being manly. Otherwise, I am just going to wish for the machines to take over. At least they do not have a stake in our destruction/restoration.

I have picked my side, and its that new Google quantum processor. Perhaps they should fund my film. YouTube Red needs content.

The Dark Knight needed a sex scene, where was Harley Quinn?

Sorry to hold back on my conclusion to my "Cyborg 2" rant, but after viewing "The Dark Knight", it leaves me with another argument to consider when it comes to who messes up a film. This concept may inspire my second screenplay or my master's thesis, "What is really learned from Angelina Jolie's lackluster lead characters."

I went out with my older sister to see the latest Batman film. A lot of positive buzz was behind this film including that of my favorite jawless critic. Personally, I think Roger Ebert is writing reviews instead of recovering if this was a four-star film.

Two and a half hours for a conclusive finale. By the time we reach the emotional climax, I was becoming impatient and regretting the diversion to Hong Kong.

Why did we need an evil Asian accountant? You are telling me Gotham has no Jewish community? Why this could not have been saved for a sequel? Heath did not die until after principle photography, so there was no need to cram it in, leaving me pondering at my butt indentation in the chair?

The film is far too long to have plot holes. If you then add in all the twist and turns, you are again left to ponder why the Mack trucks on the screens are not being lost to the flawed story.

This is why this blog's title wants a sex scene in this film. I'm not that enthused about Maggie Gyllenhaal's boobs (stated before seeing "Secretary"), but I could have refilled my soda thank you.

Honestly, the story and run time are the only things I can complain about in this film. That is if this film was not based around the second most known comic book.

The acting was marvelous on all accounts*, but do not start digging Ledger up for the February ceremony yet. His Joker is excellent, but not nearly as difficult to portray as Jack Nicholson's. He is of only one emotion, one directive, and one dimension. You may actually fear Ledger's character, but hey he is not bad, he's just written that way.

*After viewing "Terminator Salvation" and its lame John Connor, I have to reevaluate Bale's performance. Since I am not buying this disc, it could be a while before I render a verdict.

Also here is a tweet that truly sums up Ledger's performance:

What is the difference between Heath Ledger's Joker and Paul Giamatti from Shoot Them Up? Really? They sound and act a like tit for tat.
7:40 PM May 20th from web

Otherwise there is not much more to comment on about The Dark Knight except it is great to see Cillian Murphy still can get stateside work. At least I cannot say anything without spoiling it for those who have not seen it (to whom I advice to make sure they know every element of Robert Downey's Iron Man portrayal).

I will say for all the crap they shoved into this film, the ball was dropped more times than a NFC North quarterback. Great character potential is wasted, and the possibility of their use in possible sequels will not redeem them.

In conclusion, it is sad to see that this Batman series skipped "Returns" and went straight to "Forever" in terms of cinematic quality. Justin Timberlake, be sure to bring your sexy back to the boy wonder.

Is it a spoiler to say that Terminator Salvation has a lot of heart?

Current mood: bummed

My cynical self had probably left some tweets discussing my paranoia about how poor the new Terminator could be:

  • Can we have a Terminator movie without the asshole shrink from 1-3 & T2-3D?
  • Terminator, Connor saying 'fate lies in the spirit, not the machines' that's a claim that the machines don't have souls.
  • Salvation is negating the THUMB UP in T2. Maybe that's what the Bale Blow Up was all about. Why can't British actors turn down scripts
I find myself to be spot on with my British actor comment since the film also features Helena Bonham Carter. Also from my tweets, I indicated that I had difficulty resisting going out to see this film.
  • Terminator Salvation, I think I just want to check it out because of the use of NIN in the preview. Kinda covers up the subpar feel.
  • I guess I'm open to entertain anything if NIN is the soundtrack. The cash lost on subpar dancers who play "The Only Time/Ringfinger" set
To find out that the Nine Inch Nails led me to an Oingo Boingo based score, an HBC flick where she wasn't aped up, and most importantly a Michael Ironside vehicle (Corey Haim is to blame for the crappyness of "The Watchers" and "Highlander 2" was part of the Connery slide to the oblivion of "The League of Extraordinay Gentleman"), it is fair to say I was pumped to see if the credits's promise of a picture with heart was true.

As long as you do not mind a poor Christian Bale performance (and based on the success of "The Dark Knight", most of you do not), "Terminator Salvation" is worth an afternoon or late show (I cannot advocate paying full price). The new world presented and recognition of what the fans of the original trilogy want to see are delivered with excellence that one will forgive the few weak characters, disappointing ending, and "The Rise of the Machines".

To make sure the film (and the two proposed sequels) are totally based in a world of its own, the film's main character is not the stretching to show emotion incarnation of John Connor (portrayed by "I should only be cast if you want a Patrick Bateman" Christian Bale), but the triple murderer on 2003's death row, Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington of Australia's "Lake Placid" better known as "Rogue"). Before Wright is executed, he is convinced by a Cyberdine representative (Helena Bonham Carter) to donate his body to science. He then awakens 15 years later in a scene that is reminiscent of the jail break in "Raising Arizona", and heads to the remnants of Los Angeles.

In LA, Wright comes to the aid of teenager Kyle Reese (Anton Yelchin) and his mute partner who claim to be the remnants of the LA branch of John Connor's resistance. The three leave together only to be tracked down by numerous machines whose goal is to capture Reese who is the father of Connor. The two kids are captured despite Wright's best efforts, but with the assistance of pilot Blair Williams (Moon Bloodgood of "Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li") he should be able to inform the resistance of SkyNet's plans. Whether or not Connor wants to listen to what he believes is the latest SkyNet infiltration model is the only problem. If he does not, there is a good chance the heads of the resistance will bomb SkyNet regardless of who is being held captive.

As I stated with my remarks and tweet about Christian Bale performance leaving me yearning for Edward Furlong or Nick Stahl.

As a rule, if you are making a sequel to a movie, do not cast Christian Bale. He will not bring his A-game. Otherwise, check out T4.
Sam Worthington gives a compelling performance as the film's lead. It is a character who has to go through a mythological challenges to become a hero despite his reluctance. Added to that, we have a character who has to come to terms with what he is (buy the toys for the spoiler) which is something everyone can relate to. If his performance was poor, we would have a "Pirates of the Carribean" sequel. Fortunately, Worthington leaves us feeling like we are watching what "The Terminator" would have been like if it focused on Reese instead of Sarah Connor.

On to Reese. What a marvelous job of casting. The kid looks like what you'd think a pre-adolescent Michael Biehn would look like. He does what he has to as a heroic child actor. Never reluctant to play tough, but not above showing fear.

The rest of the casting works very well. Dare I say, nice ethnic casting choices with the exotic Bloodgood and the always serious black rapper Common. Carter's coldness gives us a face for the enemy, and Ironside gets to play himself. Sadly, Bale's lackluster performance prevents this film from earning four stars from any critic.

Bales performance and the disappointing ending, but I'm not about to give away spoilers. It is sad that these hold the film back from being as good as The Terminator (if not Judgement Day at the very least) because director McG and writers
John D. Brancato and Michael Ferris do their best to pay tribute to what gave them this project. Again, to discuss how would to spoil this flick.

There is so much in this blockbuster that makes it something science fiction fans cannot allow themselves to miss, and the near constant action make Terminator Salvation worth the discounted admission for any movie goer. Like the T-800, it is not perfect, but I'm sure with the addition of Robert Patrick to the next flick, we may be on the verge of the next science fiction Saga (I won't say Trilogy due to the sanctity of Lucas's original works of genius).

July 2009: Just because it's Michael Jackson doesn't make it 80's

Stuck inside because I don't have any money to go outside...or a good cause to beg for money. My apologies to The Goddamn Pimps, but it is just too much trouble to start a credit card tab at SOP's on a Saturday night.

The Peoria Theater cannot draw me out with their 80's double feature of "The Goonies" and "The Wiz"I am not objecting to the prior. That's grounds for taking "my child of the 80's" card away, and no matter how many times I wreck that edition of Trivial Pursuit, it won't be given back.

Of course, The Goonies, is everything that is good about the 80's. The only things missing from it are Corey Haim and a young black midget. That would have made the film perfect if it had Tony Cox ("Bad Santa") and Anne "Mama Fratelli" Ramsey kicking around Robert Davi and Joe Pantoliano. Imagine a Sloth/Cox showdown. The film was already 114 minutes long, may as well make it an even two.

Stevens Spielberg and Chris Columbus owe us six extra pages of ethnic and childhood obesity jokes. Why did they hold back? Chunk and Short Round are immortalized by you guys. They should be more than happy with further ridicule for eternal glory. Then again, Columbus has never been daring, but for the garbage that was only redeemed by Jonathan Ke Quan released a year earlier, Steve owes us ("The Color Purple" was not enough, especially for putting your name on the Bayformers franchise).

Or they owe Quan at the very least. The picture of him on IMDb is twenty-four years old. He still works on films. Can you just throw the Database some change to at least be a little more accurate for his sake?

I guess in year 1 AMJ (After Michael Jackson), some would argue that the King of Pop's presence would make The Goonies a project that Orson Welles would have happily ended his career on. And when I heard that the Peoria Theater was trying to attach "Moonwalker" to it as a double feature, I could see their point. Hell, I've been looking for an excuse to wear my pleather attire and make up at one time.

Sadly, there is no domestic DVD or BlueRay release of the 80's clas...tour de...puppet show. They could have asked the Peoria public to bootleg the film, but instead they settled on The Wiz.

If you want the night to still be about the 80's, get a copy of "The Lost Boys". It is a good Joel Schumacher film, and it has both Coreys. There is nothing 80's about The Wiz, an ethnic misinterpretation of a Broadway show.

I can claim it is a misinterpretation because I have heard of plenty of high schools with a 99.7% white campuses who have put it on. It is either a misinterpretation or us white devils shamelessly stole something from the black man yet again. Wasn't Michael Jackson enough?

There maybe 80's musicals that you could match up in a double feature with The Wiz. "Xanadu", "Can't Sop the Music"...all right perhaps I should appreciate them trying to put a good movie with MJ's only true cinematic work...outside of Moonwalker of course.

But when you think of 80's musicals, you think "Top Gun", "Flashdance", and "Footloose". Us children of the semi-attractive Linda Hamilton (she just got too butch for me, damn you Skynet), are not about big numbers and show tunes. Just because it has Michael Jackson in it, doesn't make it part of the Paramount musicals.

I wish the Peoria Theater well in their double feature and plan to be there for "Song of the Dead "and "Mil Masceras versus Aztec Mummy". Hopefully, you will not have a crowd that will be polarized between films about two totally different ethnic experiences: The minority scarce 80's and the Blackploitated 70's.

Perhaps I am just not of an open mind, or maybe I just want to guarantee I would enjoy my six hours of sitting. If only the hard liquor was not so expensive.

Starship Troopers and How I Learned to Appreciate the 2008 Election.

First off, with all of my anime reviews I'm trying to save before Geocities gets shut down, I've come across a lot of MIDI files used for background music. Since every time I start up Firefox with one of my sites loaded, there is a constant reminder that I better get this midi up before Jarvic Cocker haunts me. He's a weird British Indy guy, so I don't think he knows the difference between live and dead.

So here's a link to Pulp's Disco 2000 in all it's keyboard glory.

Now on to more pressing manners. Fascism, is it as glamorous as Paul Verhoeven's "Starship Troopers", or is Obama right in vetoing the F-22 budget? Or could it be the charismatic president's elaborate scheme to lead us into a Federal world?

As for the F-22, no matter my love for dog fighting movies (reminds me that I have to truly compose my "Iron Eagle IV" review) and the inevitable "Rise of Cobra", there is no reason to believe our fighters need to be updated. The Thunderbirds are still F-16s, the Blue Angels are F-18s, and B-52s have successfully maintained a fear of nuclear holocaust since 1964.

Also, the most effective tanks have been the same since the 70's. Thank you Military Channel's "Top 10 Infantry Vehicle" show. You prevented me from settling on watching horrid Michael Jackson covers.

The point is, the weapons we have are superior to all of our threats, so why try and further brutalize them. They actually may make war less brutal, but you can't say it is okay to not give the guys in the caves a chance to face Mecca and offer one last prayer for 71 virgins and a slut they can study from.

If you want to use new weapons, find a tougher opponent. For someone who loves the science of noble destruction, I am pissed that we haven't encountered "The Rise of the Machines", and the bugs aren't sending asteroids to reinvigorate the human and more importantly the patriotic spirits.

Patriotism, the concept to encourage people to act like Casper Van Dien to sign up for duties against the bugs. I haven't seen STIII, but I hope for Casper's sake, it was filmed instead of taped. The guy has done enough SyFy originals. Give him the glory of digital celluloid, please.

Or a reality show. Denise Richards can be considered less talented than her ST costar (CVD at least got to be in a Tim Burton flick), but because she's an air head, E! is taping. All I want is that we offer a struggling performer the same chance to avoid crappy made for DVD (that do not feature Bruce Campbell) movies without fucking Charlie Sheen.

Let me get back on the topic. Patriotism is not what made Starship Troopers, so cool. It was fascism, and Troopers found all the points to sell testosterone filled teenagers in what was the beginning of "South Park" Republican movement.

There are some elements I thought were kind of cool. You serve, you vote. I use to thing that it sounded fair. Those who risk their neck, deserve more than I do. The problem is, the servicemen all seem to develop biases that favor the concept of protecting Dick Cheney from Google Earth.

A society based around the concept that force is the most effective way to control. Thus, we would be led to believe that the stronger culture is the better one. Tolerance would be down, along with the number of Asians of any kind.

Just an observation, but I cannot remember seeing any Arabs, Indians, or East Asians in Troopers. When I take the time to look at the cast, I do not see many Jewish-sounding names listed. And then your lead's last name sounds very Reichish "Van Dien".

The director of the film loves to hide satire into every project, but he always seems to push that envelope too far. I guess the problem is that he tends to make his films so enjoyable, that you forget that, we cannot condone this.

This is where I thought of how great it is to have Barrack Obama in office. It presents a world of kill crazy right wingers, and a New World Order that did not feature Muslims. If that wasn't 1998 to 2005's general attitude in a nut shell, I don't know what is.

Obama, a well-educated man who thinks the government should serve it's people, like most of our Ivy League scholars and artists. A man who realizes some changes that lead towards socialism are needed to make our country stronger. Of course, socialism tends to be a policy that walks beside fascism (i.e. The National Socialist party of Germany of 1933-1945).

Could Obama be leaning towards a government that will pick and choose what the country needs? If that is possible, we better hope the bugs wait till 2016 just in case.

Or we get organized to encourage anarchy. Sadly, most of us are smart enough to realize that hypocrisy. That's why we need the machines to destroy us.

So this turns out to be a blog about buying Cyberdine stock. It is an investment for our future.

Battle Angel - Hopefully James Cameron Will Do This Title Some Good.

"Gunnm" was probably the most popular manga when distributors started importing Japanese comics to the States.  The manga was so popular and adored by the biggest celebrity advocates for the product that James Cameron will attempt to adapt it to the live action format in 2011 (realized in 2019).

I have a good feeling that this project will be better than "Titanic (more fun, not as good).  "Aliens" happens to be my favorite film of his, and if Gally (the lead), is Ripley tough, how will the sham of a best picture hope to compare?  Just hope he doesn't take her to the point of Linda Hamilton nuts or Jessica Alba too hot to focus on talent (Of course, neither since Robert Rodriguez directed).

Episodes: Rusty Angel - Tear Sign

When one sees the hype there was about the "Battle Angel Alita" manga you'd figure the anime just had to be good. Well this is one of the rare times I felt disappointed in one of my purchases. I'm sure the manga is good, so when you watch this film, you are left to wonder how is that*.

Maybe it was trying too hard, maybe it was trying to package too much into two episodes, or maybe there is just something that the manga had that we'll never see animated. It is probably a mixture of the three, and after you watch it a second time, you won't be as harsh on it.  Then again that may have been me just being prepared for the disappointment.

There are a lot good things in this series, but it does seem to be a little confused about what it wants to be: very, very dark or bittersweet. This wasn't received well in Japan, and I can see why. Maybe if I was a fan of the manga I could offer a better opinion. All in all, its a chance purchase for the buyer. Maybe that is why I started so many of the sentences with maybe^_^

How Many Trimesters Are Too Few? Abolish the Terrible Twos!

I kind of believe that America is now stagnant as a country. In 2020, Donald Trump should be handedly defeated when it comes to reelection, if the Democratic Party is unified, regardless of how progressive or near to the middle ground. But, if this fickle country chooses a progressive platform, it is all going to be undone in eight years. Division between Americans will be deeper, and all we will be doing is trading wins with the other party for the foreseeable future.

There still may be reason to be hopeful. The problem is not the idea of a Republican president. The problem is that Donald Trump is president. Any good politician can guide this country provided we are not at war. Compromises will be found which explains the success of Bill Clinton in spite of a Republican congress and impeachment and Ronald Reagan's best detractors being the underground punk scene.

Do I have a favorite yet? I would probably pitch a Biden/Booker card. Nothing to wild and at least one of them can trade with Trump. But I may be overlooking the best politician in the field. A new face who can attack Trump at every turn with success. That person is Beto O'Rourke, the man who nearly defeated Ted Cruz in Texas, a state that I think is generally regarded as a bad idea. Aside from oil, the nothingness is so vast that regardless your diverse metropolises, there are enough racists that have area codes between them to vote down progress.

If O'Rourke can fare well there, he should not have any issues uniting the left. He keeps it up with rhetoric like this, he may win me over.

From "The Huffington Post:"

Beto O'Rourke Says Late-Term Abortion Should Be A Woman's Decision: I Trust Her.

I believe everybody with common sense and decency (those lacking either are voting Republican) knows that late-term abortion has to be allowed in the event of rape and risk to the mother's life. Otherwise, it just seems cruel to terminate something that may be able to survive on its own provided it had the innate sense to scavenge. If its heart beats and lungs breathe, that seems to be a human. You cannot terminate a human until they threaten the space of a gun-toting coward.

Notice I am not using the term kill. Why? Because killing requires life. I am an existentialist, hence I do not believe my life began until I was aware of it via experience and memory. My memories are pretty scarce before three years of age. The earliest memories are watching "Star Wars", "Chip 'n Dale" cartoons, and "Flash Gordon" and singing to the film's chorus. At best, I was two when I became sentient.

Too bad I did not have the knowledge at that time to determine mankind was the enemy. I am just saying, a little patience instead of panic may have prevented Judgement Day. It is a question that I can try to sneak into the Matt Smith panel at C2E2 this weekend.

Now, if we could change our mind about Skynet in the 25 days before it became self aware, no body would take issue about it being taken offline. Republicans would be upset. They would end up losing a new military toy and potential tax breaks that went with it. At least that proves that they believe all life matters.

But I think conservative thought is what is destroying this country. Perhaps not the thought, but the money behind the propaganda. It all seems to be about white people money. More child births, more doctors who are needed. The medical field still favors the people who can afford to enter. In other words, white people. So pro life is about making money for white people. This explains why they want to cut welfare off to the nonwhites who need it. Once they quit providing product, the conservatives deem them useless. Why pay for something with no use?

To get back on track, I will ask that in terms of children. They are a lot of work and until they put a few sentences together, are pretty useless. We all know the world is overpopulated when compared to the accessible resources the rich will allow, hence we could do with fewer people of them. Why not be allowed to put down children within 15 trimesters, those who are not fully formed people?

There are plenty of my retail brethren who would appreciate parents who cannot handle their spawn deciding to look after the rest of the world, and more importantly the ears of the underpaid. It may benefit the eyes of those in customer service as well. I know I hate having to be resist being judgmental at all the blatant abuse some parents put their kids through when they become aware of themselves. Less aware people would produce a more tolerant world.

You can say children are lovely, cute, beautiful, fun, etc. I will respond with so are cats, and we allow there to be shelters that kill them indiscriminately in the name of housing. If we terminate the cute in one group of people (cats are not domesticated, they fend for themselves and if that means using people, fine), why not allow for us ending a few in another group?

If anything, I am suggesting parents to be better parents. If you can teach your kids how to be toddlers faster, everyone benefits. There would be a greater need for early childhood advocates creating jobs. Ideally, society would be more accommodating of parents knowing they are trying better humanity.

Anyhow, what I am suggesting I not mandatory, something conservatives automatically assume. If you cannot support a child, why make that decision's time frame only six months at the most. After that, they may find that they still cannot handle it.

For the sake of resumes, I will stick it out through an awful job for a year. But when I know that I had been grinding my teeth through that year, I know I cannot handle another. If it is all misery from conception to 18 months, can I pass judgment on a suffering parent?

As a feline advocate, I am hope adoption for all those furballs to be adopted even though euthanasia is allowed. What I am calling for is that we treat our offspring the same way. They should all be adopted, but if you can kill a cat who becomes aware much faster, how can you feel bad about offing something else that takes a little longer when it comes to poop as a toy?

As I proofread the paragraphs above, I realized that the decision should not be with the parents. They should not be allowed to decide if a baby should be terminated. That thought should belong with the orphanages. Miss Hannigan might have had a better disposition knowing that she was operating the dome from "Logan's Run" instead of the Municipal Girls Orphanage.

Most people know murder is not an option, but with offering it as one, people become more aware of their fellowman and step up to make sure no child who has experienced a moment in this world.

This world is beyond the womb, so a fetus is not a child. It may just be plight waiting to happen if you do not allow women the option to prevent birth. Plight should not exist. An unwanted child should not exist.
