NinetyForChill: The #Podcast - An Explict Podcast for Ralph Bashki's "Fritz the Cat"

 NinetyForChill.com: The #Podcast

Episode 85: An Explict Podcast for Ralph Bashki's "Fritz the Cat" (Featuring Gregory Carl's live reaction to NWA 74: Night 2).

Did Ralph Bashki influence anime? Ask Skim.

An Explicit Podcast for ”Fritz the Cat”.

September 13, 2022

Gregory Carl blesses "NinetyForChill: The #Podcast" with his presence again to discuss Ralph Bashki's "Fritz the Cat", the "first" X-Rated animated feature and the most successful independent animated film of all time. This is a movie that discusses a lot of issues that are still extremely sensitive today in regards to race relations while being as explicit as narratively possible, It is a film that needs to be chatted about, but not around the kiddies.

Allow me to get out of third-person. Happy Prof. Shurtleff of Illinois Central College? I (CM Darth) will try not to make so much light of violent death in this summation. This is my declaration of changing perspective.

It was a bit inconvenient that Gregory agreed to the scheduled Zoom meeting while forgetting it was the NWA's 74th anniversary weekend, but when we are discussing a film that should not be shown to kids, his language is forgivable. As a budget-strung wrestling fan, the updates were nice. If anything, this podcast could serve as an advertisement for Motorola phones. They hear everything. We spend the first 10 minutes of our conversation about wrestling based on the audio that I was hearing.

Because I suspect that not all of my listeners are wrestling fans, those 10 minutes are placed at the end of the episode. Trust me. There are cues telling you when the movie chatter ends.

If I recall correctly, Gregory suggested this feature as a podcast subject on the ""They Live". We Podcast with Gregory Carl" episode. It has been a film that I have always wanted to get around to, but the reputation still seemed a bit much. How can you sexualize cats? (I guess that says I am responsible cat owner/servant.) I knew that the creator of the comic, the legendary Robert Crumb, disowned the feature, but I did not know it was about race relation issues.

As a fan of "American Pop" and who is appreciative of "The Lord of the Rings" and "Fire and Ice", I was surprised and impressed to see Bashki tackle such topics, but is he the person that should be addressing them?

Of course the issues was, were there any black voices in animation to direct such a feature? I bring up that my father's favorite feature is "Putney Swope", a film directed by Robert Downey Sr. It addresses how white men just ignore the voice of African Americans, when in truth, they may have a better understanding about the struggles of the marginalized. Because of this, why do we sell to solely rich white people when there are plenty of middle and lesser classes who want to feel included?

But again, the director is a white man. Could that movie be made today? At least Mel Brooks had Richard Pryor to write "Blazing Saddles" with.

NinetyForChill: The #Podcast - "The Producers" (1967) - A Guide to Punting Proud Boys

 NinetyForChill.com: The #Podcast

Episode 77: "The Producers" (1967) - A Guide to Punting Proud Boys (And Michael Dubois's Dream of Holographic Gene Wilder).

Skimble if hysterical, fluffy, and adorable

The Producers 1967 - A Guide to Punting Proud Boys

July 19, 2022

Michael Dubois returns to NinetyForChill: The #Podcast to continue their tribute to the late great Gene Wilder with 1967's "The Producers". It only seems fitting to revisit Mel Brook's motion picture debut in honor of his recent 96th birthday. This feature is Cool Movie Darth's favorite from the auteur, but Michael would have preferred Nathan Lane's presence. What the two do agree on: We need more mocking of the Far Right via cinema.

Allow me to get out of third-person. Happy Prof. Shurtleff of Illinois Central College? I (CM Darth) will try not to make so much light of violent death in this summation. This is my declaration of changing perspective.

So...I am not waiting till the last minute to get this post completed. What is another lost day off? "Pokémon Legends: Arceus" is in my library. There will be a day when it will finally be played.

To my credit, I have at least figured out how to make these blog posts relatively concise. There is a chance that I will be ably to enjoy the rest of this Sunday. Too bad it has to be cut short since my early shifts always seem to come the day following my scheduled days off.

Sleeping in is something my cats graciously allow me. The result is I responsibly only get 10 hours to fuck around. Do employers consider that some people like to stay up late and do stupid things with their time? Sorry that I have chose not to procreate. Somethings you do not have to out grow.

It is having late nights that allow me to find and truly appreciate classic cinema. This is especially true when you lived with a girl for the better part of four years who did not like Mel Brooks. You would think that Ally from Ally's Accessories Shop on Etsy would appreciate all of the musical numbers. Thankfully Michael Dubois does.

If anything, Michael missed the lack of them from Mel Brook's feature debut. He first saw the 2005 adaptation of the Broadway musical adaptation of this 1967 movie which famously had Nathan Lane portray scheming producer Max Bialystock. @GentleThemE on Twitter preferred the friendlier take on this lead role over Zero Mostel's return to Hollywood after the Black Listing from McCarthyism. I think adding context to the importance of this casting may have softened Michael's take. From there, we talk about the feature and my inquiries about whether or not the 2005 remake was comparable in quality.

1967...2005...we are talking about a movie that tells the tale of producing a play guaranteed to fail with songs that glorify Adolph Hitler. Because we are in 2022, it ends up being very easy for us to go on plenty of antifascist tangents. This gives Michael the forum to preach about how mocking them is the key for the Western world to survive.

If you need more backing behind this revelation, check out the videos of Lindsey Ellis on YouTube.

As I was pulling the above video from her channel, it opens with a statement about how people try to use "Mel Brooks did this" as a blanket statement for poor satire. Not what I was hoping for, but it serves as a great transition into other elements of the podcast we discuss. From mocking Proud Boys to trying to understand them and how they misinterpret cinema like "Fight Club" and "American History X". I am surprised that I did not ask about how Edward Norton is somehow the Neo-Nazi ideal.

The two of us ended up talking for over two hours, so this recording will be divided into two parts. I imagine it will get more political. That is what I look forward to when I have Michael as a guest. By the 1:30 mark, I am sure the language will finally get explicit, so next week may not be appropriate for kids. Actually, I can guarantee that.

After FanExpo, I watched "Jay and Silent Bob Reboot". Since the theatrical run was based around a tour showing the feature off, there are no green band trailers. Thus, to do it justice, you have to deal with a lot of cursing.

I guess my final word for part one is that if you do not like the politics on the pod, my next guest wants to talk about "They Live". Gregory Carl Gathmann may focus on Roddy Piper and wrestling chatter, but you cannot avoid the Reagan bashing that comes with John Carpenter's greatest satire.

If you want to end the politicization of my movie podcast, follow the instructions below.

Imagine We Still Had VHS: "Black Lagoon" Episodes 1-3

*This blog post was started on June 22, 2022.

If you are looking for insight into my life right now, I think you are better off listening to my podcast, "NinetyForChill.com: The #Podcast". Without a guest for this past week, you get to hear everything about me that has been on my mind. This includes my war with YouTube over the abundance of advertisements for hateful, racist, and fascist Congressman Rodney Davis.

Today, one of the ads put ahead of WrestleTalk's content (They are based out of the UK, so I cannot fault them for Republican advertisements during their videos.) was for Google's Mental Health Awareness channels. You cannot have it both ways Alphabet. If you promote someone who approves child murder and the Blue Lives Matter flag on top of wanting to take reproductive rights away from women, you cannot turn around and say, "watch a video to feel better." You can fuck right off.

Needless to say, I am not going out of my way to create content for YouTube. Thank you Alphabet for allowing to run down this Windows 10 laptop. The credit is there right now to get myself a Mac.

My war with tech monopolies goes beyond Android. I think Twitter is boycotting any links that do not have a full file name (html/php) that involves death. How am I suppose to promote my primary blog, "Main Event of the Dead" (maineventofthedead.com)? Is Elon Musk calling for an end to zombie movies? Is this a conspiracy to show Mark Zuckerberg has some understanding of being human since I can promote my website on that platform.

Alphabet has given Rodney Davis $10,000 in campaign donations. Technology is going to destroy my new home. I do not need anymore irony in my life. Champaign/Urbana is where the Internet started. My Congressmen is going to use technology to destroy it.

At least this rant gives me a transition to the anime review. "Black Lagoon" is a series that is celebrated for its violence and humor, at least on Looper and Watch Mojo, but rarely do they tell you the perspective that you are suppose to assume when you watch. That is of an early 20-something who is fed up with corporate life. If you are fed up with expectations of Western society, this series seems tailor made for you.

Black Lagoon: Episode 1-3

Rokuro Okajima is a 25 year-old salaried employee at a major Japanese corporation. It was what you are to aspire to do as a Japanese man, and to succeed at this, you are expected to take orders and go through all the motions be it excessive bowing or excessive drinking to appease the higher ups. The latter expectations will be addressed later. As for the prior being taking orders, Okajima's latest task is to transport a disc to an organization with questionable motivations. Following orders to advance may lead to a sense of naivety. So he is caught by surprise when pirates decide to take him hostage.

Well, the pirates did not mean to take him hostage. The crew's loose cannon Revy wants to make a little extra money from Rokuro's company. She fails to realize that they have already written off their employee and has gone straight to mercenaries to reclaim the disc at any cost. At least Rokuro has gotten an honorary promotion and assurances that his funeral will be paid by the company.

Not wanting to die has given Rokuro's a new perspective towards his life. He has decided to fight with his captors to save his own neck. If he can get out of this scrape, perhaps he has new job opportunities ahead of him. All he has to do is figure out how to destroy a heavily armored helicopter with the Black Lagoon, a PT Boat with a couple of torpedoes and an anti-tank rifle.

"Black Lagoon's" first hour is engaging television. Anime fans (at least American ones) are the type who will shun traditional values, so to have a protagonist who knows its the right thing to do is ideal. The first episode has fun in pointing out how messed up the Japanese business culture is, so the viewer is further encouraged to despise it and yearn for freedom. It is classic escapism, but rarely do we have the actual opportunity to escape.

The beauty of the story is that it presents the risks to find the freedom we all desperately want. With these risks, the audience has to consider if one can really ignore them to accept a chance to be free of the perceived responsibilities. As the violence mounts, you feel like you have to take the plunge and forget about your past and realize where you should be. "Black Lagoon" nails that narrative and gets you pumped for the next episode.

After the first hour, it seems to just be your typical action anime. That is not an insult, just the truth. To get to know the supporting characters of Capt. Dutch, Revi, and Benny, we need half hour adventures. If it is like the best anime TV shows, by the half way point, the over arching story is established, and all these brief tales will pay off. This is two seasons and an OVA series, so it is a safe assumption that the series will be hard to turn off. Damn bed times.

To make this series even sweeter, the art style is solid and looks oh so shiny. Usually I am turned off by bright colors, preferring a subdued, straight from the manga frame feel. Since anime became mainstream in the States, brightness feels like an accommodation to Western audiences who expect Disney quality. But this is not a sweet little Adult Swim first hour show. This is a series that celebrates violence to the point of excess. To see it in glorious color is a nice treat.

Add in a excellent soundtrack and it is hard not to let this series gets its hooks into you. It makes it feel like a "Persona" game, so you will be inspired to just put the opening theme on loop.

Humor, violence, and great tunes is what a fun simpleton (per @mainawamaina707 on Twitter) is easily pleased by. "Black Lagoon" delivers on all of these. It is not overly complicated or meta, just a simple narrative that knows what its audience dreams of.

I suppose since its is anime, it could use a little more fan service. But if you are not turned on by an angry chick wiping out a fleet of pirates, kink shaming you seems fair to me.

Non-Murderous, Undisclosed Desires and the Current Disgruntled's Wrestling Champions

*This blog post was started on May 31, 2022.

Nothing seems to be going right in starting this post. I looked up songs by The Smiths to come up with a title for the personal part of the blog only to look at my previous posts to find that two posts ago was called "Pick Your Smiths Songs". That is a real kick in the teeth because "Suffer Little Children" would be fitting for the past week.

If it is any consolation for us Americans who have compassion instead of homicidal desires (Are these what Matt Bellamy was singing about?) and the need to defend their past, Twitter has not been too bad. Prior to Uvalde, I was still getting some gun nuts coming out of the woodwork in regards to my call for them to practice their aim instead of buying semi-automatic weapons. Those tweets were sent during WrestleMania weekend. Did those cunts just get out of Twitter jail and had to catch up on whatever those who are more careful in their echo chamber had to disparage?

They are probably just laying low right now because the cowards they voted for are taking the heat for the bullshit they would spout in their stead. If being in power cannot stop you from being an embarrassment, what can your anonymous ass do? Once the house passes their legislation, they will probably express their paranoia again because racist assholes like Rodney Davis had failed them, so red state senators cannot.

I thought I would get around to writing about my own struggles (like trying to find something to enjoy that is not dependent on the influence of others per my therapist), but after naming an incompetents racist, memories of his anti-woman stance come to mind. It has been so long since I wrote for the sake of writing, I did not get to express my anger over Roe v. Wade's inevitable overturning. Should I be writing just to get my rage out? If Mom cracks down on the therapy bills, that maybe my only option.

There is a part of me that thinks I maybe adding even more stress into my life by going to therapy. We are developing a good report, but can it help me? I think that I maybe focusing more on my problems, so that I will have them to talk about. Hence, my troubles seem like they are on my mind more now. With rent going up $60 and a credit card interest coming do, working short shifts with few friends leaves me focused on the lack of money. Sticking around before/after my shift was scheduled to begin/end may help the pocketbook, but it is only more time to think about how few pages are in it.

When it comes to finding outlets to be social, my big sister finds it in Twitter. With her personality, it is easy to see why. She gets to chat with fellow ignored souls. To cope with the assholes she had to endure, being ignored meant a good day. I suppose my problem is that I cannot stand just being ignored.

And the world's problem is not developing a thick skin where they can ignore silly statements. I have probably left people more upset by calling Johnny Depp menacing and claiming that people who ignore their dogs on walks to focus on their phones are closet cat people. People want to be heard, but not interacted with. How dare anyone make them think of the trivial (and occasional dim) things they have said.

Then you get assholes like @daykyle who want to remind me how Cody Rhodes return to WWE is improving rating for McMahon's promotion while the needle only moved once for CM Punk's return to wrestling. I guess this blog will piss him off. Maybe it will get him to write blogs because 280 characters cannot offer him an argument.

The Current Disgruntled's Real Wrestling Champions (May 31, 2022)

With that said, we already know who is going to be named the Men's World Champion. How is Cody going to top the CM Punk story? He is not going to be the guy to unseat the DRCW Interim Champion. Winning Money in the Bank and then cashing in after Roman Reigns beats The Rock is the only way I think his story can be better than what Punk's comeback has been.

He might get a brief reign before WrestleMania, but unless McMahon is going to make the turncoat their top guy and abandon the 10-year build of the Chris Hero stand in, it is not going to mean a damn thing. A reign where Roman just gets the belt(s) back is nothing more that a shallow means to claim that WWE has shown the upmost respect to The American Dream.

The 98th and Current Disgruntled's Real Men's World Wrestling Champion:
AEW World Champion CM Punk

(His third reign started on May 29, 2022.)

Kazuchika Okada is the only man who has the only style of all "world" champions who can work with Punk. Roman Reigns does not have the legs or the freedom to do so. Jonathan Gresham is too indie darling to translate.

The 49th and Current Disgruntled's Real Women's World Wrestling Champion:
AEW World Champion Thunder Rosa

(Her reign started on March 16, 2022.)

She is not the most athletic champion. That would be Bianca Belair, but Belair has yet to defend her championship. Rosa had defeated the giant of AEW's division in Nyla Rose and had a classic with the woman who took the NWA Women's Championship from her, Sereena Deeb. Ronda Rousey is the most legit champion, but she does not have a new contender yet.

The 151st and Current Disgruntled's Real World Tag Team Champions:
Raw & SmackDown Tag Team Champions: The Bloodline: Jimmy & Jey Uso

(Their second reign started on January 5, 2022.)

After unifying the tag team championships, it is hard to make a case against them. I think AAA/ROH Champions FTR have proven themselves the best team since January 5, but they lacked ROH gold to stake their claim as the champions.

The OCHO: The 159th and Current Disgruntled's Real Secondary Champion:
ROH Television Champion: Samoa Joe

(His third reign began on April 15, 2022.)

It is really a matter of timing at this point. SANADA was about to relinquish the IWGP United States Championship due to injury. WWE's Intercontinental Championship feels like it is off TV, and that Ricochet only won it to add more heat to the Sami Zayn/Johnny Knoxville feud. Theory has a lot of juice with Vince McMahon as his on screen mentor, but only won the title after Joe won his. Fin Balor's reign was brief and only to allow Damian Priest to turn heel. Trey Miguel is always going to be looked at as the third member of The Rascals.

Joe beat Minouro Suzuki for his current title in Suzuki's only attempted defense. But it was still the founder of Pancrase he had to beat.

The 160th and Current Unified Gnarly Men's Doubles World Champions:
AEW World Tag Team Champions: Luchasaurus and Jungle Boy Jack Perry

(Their reign started on January 10, 2022.)

With no Rated RK-Bro currently, who else can it be? Well, sadly AEW is currently focusing on seeming makeshift teams of singles competitors, so the AEW Tag Team Championships may not get elevated to the Real Tag Team Championship for the foreseeable future.

The 48th and Current Modern Poser Champion:
WWE Unified Universal Champion Roman Reigns

(His second reign started on August 30, 2020.)

He can work with Punk because they have in the past, but he definitely cannot go with Okada or Gresham. This concept of a Real World Champion was established by Taz when he called out Steve Austin and Ric Flair before his ECW/FTW "Living Dangerously" unification bout with Sabu. You cannot believe Reigns over Punk.

As a creative type, I almost want to curse AEW. The World Championship booking is so consistent, it is rare that I get to write about who the real champions are. "Forbidden Door" will be an important event because it will test Tony Khan's skill as a booker.

Hopefully he will have learned from "G1 Supercard" and resist winner takes all affairs. With the amount of championships, the card writes itself. Stick to the New Japan emphasis on championship matches, and I am sure it will deliver. Just do not book Okada/Punk. I need my booking pencil.

@WWERomanReign at Least Ranks Higher than Kyle Rittenhouse.

*This blog post was started on November 19, 2021.

Do I really want to transcribe my review for Todd Phillips's "Due Date"? I already posted my review for the first "RED". That feature's sequel might need to be rewatched. As for "Due Date", it is nothing I like to be reminded of. If anything, all the memory of that brings up is arguing with my mom about who decided we needed to go to the cinema for that.

Mom just wanted out of the house back in 2010. She liked "The Hangover" (I was not a fan, but "Road Trip" and "Old School" are the last two great obscene, sophomoric features of the 2000's) so she thought she would like this. This was a film that she did not like, so it must have been my decision that this would be our weekly feature.

Needless to say, when I visit my family this weekend to hopefully record a podcast with ThePoeticCritic, I do not have to deal with post Rittenhouse discussions. The verdict was a joke and the judge should be disrobed. Since that is my opinion, Mom may instinctively choose the pro-murder side of this argument.

If anything was done right about the acquittal of a white nationalist who wants to kill those trying to fix this country, it is fucking freezing in Kenosha...don't ya know. That may damper the protests and leave the crooked county somewhat intact. Anyway, the casualties were white. A racist is still responsible, but it is at least a change from the usual.

I am not a fan of martyrdom, but there is a sense of comfort that guys of my race are ready to die for what is right. All those fuckers on January 6th died from incompetence. Fuck Ashli Babbitt.

They say history is written by the winners. That is not the case in the judicial system. This is not O.J. Simpson. The cops did not have eyewitnesses. Regardless, he won that case, and he was hounded by people until he could be convicted of something else. Matt Jaetz (You do not get the hard G if you are a cunt.) is trying to turn Rittenhouse into a hero for the alt-right. I feel Simpson and Casey Anthony are being unjustly ruined, but I am not trying to make them into heroes.

As long as you want the status quo to remain (which makes Eddie Izzard's prediction that this is humanity's last century valid), you seem to wish those who give a shit death. Even those who do not give a shit, but know what the facts are have become your targets (see Mike Pence). It seems like the right wants a war, just so they can win it. At least that follows the argument of history is written by the winners.

There is not a fucking war. That means there is nothing to win. This means it should not be about writing a pro-white narrative. We are at a time that history can be written correctly. Sorry that you have to pay for you parent's and grandparent's sins. I am sorry they were fucking cunts who refused to take responsibility for hurting others in order to live as comfortably as they pleased.

We need Critical Race Theory because 71% of this country is white. Most of this race does not live in places where they have to have genuine experiences with minorities. Ignorant people are easier to scare. It is either that, or lets open up the borders to allow those who put their lives on the line a chance at a better life. That way, a cracker cannot help but learn to be tolerant towards their neighbor.

And, since "Last Week Tonight with John Oliver" is on a hiatus till February (like all things seemingly are. Best of luck Ring of Honor), now this...

The Disgruntled's Real Men's Power Rankings (11/22/2021)

The Number 1 Wrestler in the World: Hangman Adam Page (Debut)

The Number 2 Wrestler in the World: Big E (Up 1 spot)

  • WWE Champion. DRCW recognizes this as a Men's World Championship.
  • He has retained his championship against the two most recent dominant WWE Champions.

The Number 3 Wrestler in the World: Shingo Takagi (Up 1 spot)

  • He is the current and third IWGP World Heavyweight Champion. This championship came from the unification of the IWGP Heavyweight Championship with the IWGP Intercontinental Championship. The Heavyweight Championship was regarded by DRCW as a Men's World Championship.
  • Defeating Kazuchika Okada, Hiroshi Tanahashi, and Zack Sabre Jr. are better wins than the played out feuds of Roman Reigns.
  • His Wrestle Kingdom challenger(s) is more impressive than Mike Knux (aka Mike Knox), the NWA World Champion's next challenger.

The Number 4 Wrestler in the World: Trevor Murdoch (Down 2 spots)

NWA World Heavyweight Champion: DRCW recognizes this as a Men's World Championship.

The Number 5 Wrestler in the World: Roman Reigns

  • He is in the midst of 400 plus-day reign as WWE Universal Champion (a poser world championship).
  • He is the current DRCW Modern Poser Champion. As long as there is a better world champion, a win over the WWE Champion with no stakes will not elevate him.

The Number 6 Wrestler in the World: Sammy Guevara

The Number 7 Wrestler in the World: Tomohiro Ishii (Debut)

  • He is the new NJPW's NEVER Openweight Champion.
  • He had just debuted in All Elite Wrestling.

The Number 8 Wrestler in the World: Bryan Danielson (Debut)

  • He is still the top contender for the AEW World Championship.
  • He is still undefeated in AEW singles competition.

The Number 9 Wrestler in the World: Kenny Omega (Down 8 spots)

  • He is still the current AAA Mega Champion
  • With his injuries he will be taking time to rehab and receive surgery for, expecting him to contend anytime soon would be optimistic. I suspect they will hold him back till AEW Double or Nothing, at least from the title picture.

The Number 10 Wrestler in the World: Bandido

  • ROH World Champion: DRCW recognizes this as a Men's World Championship. If Page loses his AEW championship to a performer who is inferior to Bandido, the ROH champion can become the Disgruntled's Real World Champion.
  • With ROH's future in question, I do not see their top prize elevating anyone further than 10.
This list may have ranked a couple of secondary (perhaps tertiary) champions too high. WWE has no respect for their current Intercontinental and United States championships. When there is Seth Rollins contending for the WWE Championship, he may deserve a spot in the top 10. Also, Will Osprey and Kazuchika Okada are going to be headlining Wrestlekindom 16 along side Shing Takagi.

If secondary titles are only respected in AEW, should they carry more weight than contenders who have yet to obtain gold?

FMK: "Trainspotting", "Libertarians", The Disgruntled's Real World Champion.

*This blog post was started on November 17, 2021.

I have the Chinese idiom "Everything in Disorder" tattooed on my right forearm above a tattoo of an empty shell of Hello Kitty's head. This is next to a lucky/beckoning cat holding a lit match in their left paw having just ignited the fuse to a bomb that they are securing with their right paw. If you want a summation of my existence, the ink may be it. Especially when the suicidal feline is bordered by lines from "Trainspotting", "And the reason? There are no reasons." It is a good thing that am inked enough to lack the space for "Who needs reasons when you have heroin?" and the rest of the "Choose Life" monologue.

A recent "The Rewatchables" podcast was dedicated to that feature. Perhaps my mom was right about that movie being bad for me. She was more upset about the imagery, but I think it may have been the message. She knew of my hate for high school and that I dealt with some bullying (and her Midwest naivety on how to deal with mental health, "If he could play sports, he is fine."). An introduction to nihilism could not be a good thing. It is a good thing that I got around to seeing it before she got around to it.

I guess it is like reading "Gender Queer" because of its content before the South Carolina governor calls for its banning. The cat is out of the bag. Now you are just promoting two things: the product you oppose and you intolerant nature.

Why am I thinking about my tattoos and "junkie porn"? The banking system went down at work just as we were processing the day change (I cannot wait for the manager to come in tomorrow and ask why I have two 11/17s and 11/18s.). Like last week, this occurred when the manager was taking a day off. At the same time, I realize that I have at least a 105 movies to consider for "NinetyForChill.com's" Best Discoveries of 2021, at this time. Thus, going into my 2010's notebook to transcribe some reviews will only make things more tasking.

With that said, it looks like Michael Dubuois will be returning for the "Ready or Not" episode. Gregory Carl should be back in the next couple of weeks as well. And ThePoeticCritic is getting ready for Christmas even before Black Friday. I have already watched "Santa Slay" with Bill Goldberg. There will probably be another five movies with that episode.

And of course, I am coming off a four-day stretch where my car was stuck in Normal when the rear passenger-side wheel's control arm snapped. It was going to be a day in Blo/No, but the "Pokemon Shield" Game Stop promo code inspired the trip. In the end, it was not available in Bloomington (or Danville as I found out the previous night), but with a VPN and some Googling, the Netherlands's Game Mania came through for me. My ingenuity ended up being rewarded with finding out that a Pokemon's level means nothing in the Battle Tower. 200 extra hours to get them to level 75 to find out the Tower caps them at 50.

There is just a vibe that nothing is going right. All I have to write about is wrestling and satire. Too bad you cannot run that by my coworkers.

Michael Dubuis shared a post on Facebook that stated, "I use to be a libertarian until I realized that other people had feelings to." If they got upset at the following joke, the libertarian in the next seat has yet to realize that.

Britney looks so disheveled in this video. She needs someone to take care of her makeup.

You know, I think she had someone taking care of her.

No! That is not being taken care of.

So yeah, I just stay out of politics. Too bad the new employee is too personable and is ready to try and chat about the upcoming verdict of the murdering white-supremacist Kyle Rittenhouse.

This all comes after I over hear the "aware" one bitching about being gaslighted by family.

If you are going to get upset about things that are not offensive...

I love how they have a god complex and can determine what is or should be offensive (If they ever get to this blog, Fuck Britney and Fuck Johnny Depp.). The sad thing is that this maybe taught. Here is to hoping this sociopathic engagement works out for them like the treacherous sheep of January 6th.

I have not been intimate with anyone in over a year while there are idiots forging a chaotic road to happiness. Yes, questions are something I always asked. Irvine Welsh and Danny Boyle have some reasonable answers.

If one thing is not broken...too badly...it is pro-wrestling. I guess the proper way to state it is that the best wrestling is doing fine. Survivor Series will be interesting, but a part of me tells me not rush to get home from Peoria on Sunday.

The Disgruntled's Real Men's World Champion (from 1/4/2019 to 11/17/2021)

The 92nd DRCW Men's World Champion:
WWE Champion Bryan Danielson (f.k.a. Daniel Bryan) (4) (1/4/2019 to 4/7/19)

The 93rd DRCW Men's World Champion:
WWE Champion Kofi Kingston (4/7/19 to 10/4/19)

The 94th DRCW Men's World Champion:
AEW World Champion Chris Jericho (2) (10/4/2019 to 2/29/2020)

The way Kofi-Mania ended was a slap to the face of WWE fans (Fuck the universe.), so if they wanted great wrestling and booking, TNT would be the channel to switch to.

The 95th DRCW Men's World Champion:
AEW World Champion Jon Moxley (2/29/20 to 12/2/20)

The 96th DRCW Men's World Champion:
AEW World Champion Kenny Omega (12/2/2020 to 11/13/2021)

The 97th and Current DRCW Men's World Champion:
AEW World Champion Hangman Adam Page (Reign began 11/13/21)

There was no argument to be made against Kenny Omega being a superior wrestler to the DRCW Modern Men's Poser Champion. Now that Omega's reign has come and gone while Reign's hold on the Universal Championship has not, you may say it is time for the head of the table to rise to the top. Too bad WWE does not know how to book long term. There has never been any chemistry between Reigns and whom he is defending his championship against.

We knew Hangman would eventually be the heavyweight championship, but that is what the audience wanted to see. If anything, there are AEW fan's, like myself, who wanted to see Omega win last Saturday to further extend this angle. Page would still come out on top, but at Revolution.

It should be said that because of all the injuries Omega sustained, only Omega can beat himself. This further elevates the AEW World Championship over the Universal Champion. And, regardless if Reigns is the best WWE product, do we care about Reigns? I think we only care about him not being shoved down our throats as a babyface.

Roman Reigns is not Ric Flair, so no one cares if he is constantly winning and losing the championship. If WWE is not careful, their premier champion will be flashing us back to Triple H's reign of terror.

Roman Reign Is Still Number 5 and How to Treat Saudi Blood Money

*This blog post was started on October 23, 2021.

There is still a half hour on my Saturday shift at the bank. It has been easy enough to keep myself amused. I may have lost $10 on Newcastle United, but the beauty of the game comes from a point being gained and the other team not pulling any further from you. Regardless of my optimistic take on being in the bottom three, the transfer window cannot come soon enough. Bring on the blood money.

NUFC is the closest thing I have to patriotism. The leadership is evil, but you must proudly promote it. This was something that I did not do for the Trump presidency, but I could take action to change that...or I at least live in a state that cannot help his cause.

TD Ameritrade represents what is killing this country and the Ricketts are far too Republican for my taste, but they are not murdering anyone. In other words, I am proud of my allegiance to the Chicago Cubs even at the cost of further gentrification to Wrigleyville.

Unless "NinetyForChill.com - The #Podcast" can bring in $828-million, I cannot change NUFC's leadership. My z-budget, pro-wrestling zom-com "Main Event of the Dead" can easily turn a profit (If you want to help get this project out of development hell, send an email to russthebus07@gmail.com. I would be happy to send you a script treatment.), but nowhere near the high nine figures. This makes me ponder how much money "Avengers: Endgame" actually made.

The only way for Newcastle United to change is for the team to become so good, that Elon Musk buys them out. Jeff Bezos's history with MBS makes Tesla our only hope.

*This blog post was resumed on October 25, 2021.

How will I cope with the hypocrisy of supporting a team ran by a murderous government? All it took was a look at the crowd to see white Geordies with ghutrahs. I got to buy myself one just to mock the Saudi Public Wealth Fund. They must be insulted until they clean their act up.

I always like to joke that you should not take on a group of people as a mascot, provided they are still alive. The Aztecs, Mayans, and Trojans, there are none of them left to feel insulted. The Illini, that is just bad taste. UIUC's most memorable logo looks like they mounted Chief Illiniwek's head to some Donald Trump Jr's wall. White men took everything from them. Why add further insult?

Mohammad Bin Salman is an asshole who needs insulting. Show me Saudis who lack oil money who sport shemagh, and maybe I will feel bad for picking on an entire country. At least get your PR team working MBS.

If I take this approach, maybe I can watch more wrestling. Perhaps I can be sold on Roman Reigns can make a case to climb up the Disgruntled's Real Championship Wrestling rankings.

I kid of course. Three hours of wrestling on a Friday night is one hour too many. Anyhow, if Fox News is getting ad time, Fox is not getting my time. My fandom cannot be sold to every anti-humanity organization.

The Disgruntled's Real Men Power Rankings (10/25/21):

  • He did successfully fend off the challenge of the preceding champion, Bobby Lashley.
  • He did successfully fend off the challenge of 2020's primary champion, Drew McIntyre.

  • He did not use a gimmick like Money in the Bank to win his championship.
  • He did not win a vacated championship.

The Number 6 Wrestler in the World: Shingo Takagi

  • He is the current and third IWGP World Heavyweight Champion. This championship came from the unification of the IWGP Heavyweight Championship with the IWGP Intercontinental Championship. The Heavyweight Championship was regarded by DRCW as a Men's World Championship.
  • He won given a chance to win this championship after Will Ospreay was stripped of it due to injury. Before Takagi won the championship, he had failed to defeat Ospreay for it.

The Number 7 Wrestler in the World: Sammy Guevara (Up 1)

The Number 8 Wrestler in the World: Damien Priest (Up 1)

  • WWE United States Champion: A belt recognized by DRCW as a secondary championship that makes up some of the OCHO's title history.

The Number 10 Wrestler in the World: Josh Alexander

  • He successfully defeated Christian Cage to become the Impact World Champion (a poser world championship), the former number 4 from the last rankings (10/6).
  • He did immediately lose the championship to Moose who had challenged him immediately afterwards defeating Cage (Having won the Call Your Shot Gauntlet three matches prior).
  • With Impact's working relationship seemingly finished with AEW, I expect the promotion to fall from the rankings.

Roman Reigns Is No. 5 and Ranting About the Judgmental

*This blog post was started on October 5, 2021.

Last night was dedicated to producing my podcast and laundry. I actually got all that done at a reasonable time, but when I start being productive, I think I might get manic. So all the sleep I lacked due to movie research this weekend still needs to be made up for.

At least that is my story for the headaches. In other words, further deep cleaning my apartment is not on the immediate agenda. The windows are still shut and the air conditioning is running. This is leaving me to prefer the seasonal change from Winter to Spring. I think I would rather deal with knowing when things are warm than waiting for the cold.

If only I could just place amateur wrestling mats on all the floors to remind me of the best times from high school. Why would I complain about near 90 degree temperatures? I did not complain about it back in the day.

That is saying something because weight cutting was never a problem for me. If anyone had a right to complain, it was I. It is ironic how the team I captained was always annoyed by me. They could have not made excuses and be supportive of the coach's agenda.

There were a few good teachers back at Morton High School. I guess I can never have kids because I would not know where to live so that they would be in good schools. Living in the city is what I like, but you know the schools are subpar. Living in the burbs, you know the entitled "old" families have brat kids. Living in the country, what education?

I suppose shit did not get bad for me till I was in fourth grade. Homeschooling might work out after the kids get the socializing established. Your real friends keep in touch. That seems nicer than finding that out after high school.

All this ranting really makes me wish that you could use hyperlinks with my online dating profiles. I would rather be judged on this than "Two Truths and One Lie" boxes.

If that does not turn them off, then the wrestling chat below will. It is better than me going on a rant about the "libertarian" next to me who is reinforcing their racist and transphobic prejudices via fringe video sites. Do I report what they are watching to YouTube just to make sure they know where their content filters are failing?

I guess I should not complain too much about them thinking that they should be allowed to judge people. My hometown will think that I did that in this post. My only defense is, I was just stating my experiences. If you have not had the same experiences than the people you are judging, are you in no position to judge?

Which allows me to go on and on and on about pro wrestling. The worst think you can say about me as a critic is that I am only a critic because I was a failed performer. Personally, I got a suitcase with a weekend's worth of gear in my trunk, so I do not want to use verb tense. Or at least just call me a wrestler who is failing. In the end, those who cannot do, teach.

Teaching is still an expression of passion. And I can go on to say that if people gave a shit about me and my passion, my pro-wrestling, Z-budget, zombie-comedy feature film, "Main Event of the Dead" would not be in development hell or I can at least participate in a wrestling scene where there are few who have put in the time to be true professionals. Downstate Illinois without friends makes me want to consider taking up auto-erotic asphyxiation.

With the scenario above coming off as a plea, I might as well make it official. If you want to help get "Main Event of the Dead" off the ground, send an email to russthebus07@gmail.com. I would appreciate any advice on how to get the feature to a crowd-sourcing stage and am more than happy to send out a treatment of my script. Thanks for the consideration.

Obviously, I am just writing what is immediately coming to my mind with this post. That was not necessarily my intent, but now we have the party next to me watching anti-vax videos. It is just building up the angst. So how much fun do I think me taking up the old Apter Magazines format will be?

Lets find out.

The Disgruntled's Real Power Rankings (10/6/21):

I structure is solely based on my past experiences with printed wrestling magazines. It might be fun to go and subscribe to one just for kicks, but I have promised the listeners of "NinetyForChill.com - The #Podcast" that I will give Shudder a chance, so that will not currently let me SUPPORT WRESTLETALK.

  • He is the most recent Impact X Division Champion. DRCW recognizes that title as a secondary championship which contributes to the OCHO's title history.
  • He relinquished the championship to challenge Christian Cage for the Impact World Championship in a scheduled (not impromptu like Big E's title victory) bout.

I think this is about as objective you can get. It at least opens the door for WWE to possibly justify their Universal Championship. If you accept the DRCW real champions, you cannot dispute their ranking.

I would love to hear some feedback. My twitter is @catbusruss. And with all that said, and to coincide with the rankings, I must bid you Adieu, Goodbye, and Good Night. Bang!

Purple George W. Bush and Ironic Inevitability

Purple George W. Bush and Ironic Inevitability

Obviously, this is a tough news week. Do I really want to dig into it? Not particularly.

Let me just say that I hope we have established that we cannot fight wars solely over differing ideologies. Vietnam was a loss because it was a battle between communism and capitalism. It was a civil war, not a war that would have had any impact of American safety. Central America is a mess over the same policy of fending off the red scare. Am I the only one who notices the irony that the Republicans are represented by that color? I wonder if my dad ever took that into consideration from his time representing Caterpillar when faced with Unions who sported that color.

Afghanistan was a war over religion. President Bush said God was on our side if you felt like questioning the previous statement. I thought we had gotten over that when colonialism came to be a thing. It could be said that British colonialism was kind of based on religion since they loaded the Mayflower with Christian nuts, but I digress. The point is, religion was not an issue for the West since then. If it was, the US would not have sent Jewish refugees to be slaughtered by the Nazis they were running from.

Come 2001, we were at least over destabilizing governments. Even in Slavic Europe, we just sent peacekeeping forces in to stop the ethnic cleansing. We may have bombed some Serbian military resources, but we did not go in and run them out. This was the same stance in Syria. But we wanted vengeance for 9/11.

The Taliban would not turn over Osama Bin Laden. Since we found him in Pakistan, could they have? We could have easily bombed where intelligence suggested he was/would be and prevent the government from protecting him, but instead we thought they all looked alike with in that country's borders. Who has the time to discern whom we were killing.

And then George W. Bush decided to free another oppressed country falling the same rules instead of focusing on removing Bin Laden from the proverbial chessboard. This also declaring the Venezuelan coup a success. America, Fuck Yeah!

This created ISIL (ISIS was the illegal espionage/intelligence agency operated by Malory Archer. R.I.P.) and why Barrack Obama could not get out of the Middle East even after completing the objective that got us into the region. At least we won Bush's total bullshit war, but it was only a matter of time that the unwinnable Afghani affair would end the way it did, regardless of who was in power. Trump formalizing the negotiations with the Taliban was not a good move, but an aspiring dictator going easy on successful dictatorships was kind of his thing.

What pisses me off about everything is that we took two months to gather our thoughts before acting stupid and starting this war. We had the time to come up with a winnable scenario, but instead annihilating an ideology was our goal. This is all a long way of saying we deserve this outcome and we need to help those who flee here.

I guess I am saying the whole of the United States is to blame (I was in college in 2001, I should have been marching.), so no point in pointing fingers with the exception of failing those who are running from the country. It is a little too early to do that. Lets just get them here and try not to be the racist assholes we tend to be.

May I suggest critical race theory to start developing the empathy the boomers and white, male gen exers are lacking?

It is definitely too early for a satirical take on this. Here is to hoping that I can come up with a better way to get back to my favorite topics to ignore my racist and trans-phobic neighboring coworker from watching videos that YouTube will not allow to air on their platform which misinterpret Alan Moore's "V for Vendetta"?

And I thought my realization of my current state of alienation was going to be the extent of my current bad times.
