Naked White Cops, WWE's ECW, and The Modern Poser Championship

*Blog post started on September 9, 2020.

The lack of traffic at the bank maybe the primary reason I want Congress to resolve the COVID-19 relief bill. That is hyperbole, but with my blog being my primary way of killing time, it typically means I best watch something or have something meaningful to say before I go to bed. To come in to work without anything to say, a strain on the brain is inevitable.

Labor Day weekend definitely had its moments. An impromptu trip to Peoria on Friday was amusing, but something I paid for the following day. That will happen when one finds a beer arcade that serves five-dollar cocktails and five-dollar shots of Malort. Top that with a strip club which seems to permit their talent to provide weed to the customers, making it through visiting my late best friend's grave in Pekin, buying everything one could need for a cook out, and watching AEW All Out could be seen as an accomplishment.

AEW has bailed me out at least in terms for a blog topic, but after this one, subjects maybe trickier to come by. I wish I could save the next story, but do not know if I can get three page downs of length.

Last night, I was watching some "True Blood" while finishing off my vodka mixer. After I undressed to go to bed, there was a knock on my door. It was an officer with the Urbana Police Department. Call it white privilege, but he did allow me time to put on some pants.

All that was done to explain to me the thin walls in my building, which no one had called me out on all the previous nights with my music at 80% volume, advise me that this was not a warning, and document my name and phone number. When I went to finish the show, I found the volume was at 30% from the TV. Obviously, all the 4K is in the living room, so can I really watch TV at a certain hour?

Do I need to watch the volume as I watch AEW? The cable box seems to need the volume to be over 50 (60 to 70 is ideal). I suppose I can cast the Xfinity app over my bedroom Chromecast to not bug anyone. Should I have told the officers the volume was based on the noise around me?

Really, the biggest problem is having to put all my stuff in the bedroom into closets instead of leaving the room as storage space. It is just so nice to have baskets of clothes laying everywhere instead of making sure cats are not stuck in the closets after I change for work. Think of the kitties.

A lesser problem is not being able to joke about the potential of having to deal with the cops while nude. Since I am white, there is not need to worry about getting treated like a naked minority. Perhaps a universal fear of the blue cunts is needed. America has just go to quit skipping over white people when it comes to mistreatment. It is fucked up equality to say let the cops beat the shit out of everyone, but its satire.

I have been thinking about trying to pursue All Elite Wrestling with this script. Every pro-wrestling promotion needs its own film studio, right?

The Current (147th) Disgruntled's Real World Champions:
AEW Tag Team Champions FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) (Reign started on September 5, 2020)

The WWE Main Roster Tag Team Division has not had any prestige since The New Day's 483-Day reign. When you remember that is only five days longer than Demolition, the previous record, the tag team division was either pretty thin and/or poorly booked. I believe it is the latter because The Revival should have been a part of this title history.

If only NXT Tag Team Champions had proven that belt's worth at last years Survivor Series. With Vince McMahon's pen, who knows if the third brand will get a chance this year.

McMahon's attempts to please NBC Universal and Fox instead of the fans may have resulted in the worse booked "world" championship since the Monday Night Wars. TNA/Impact may have brought fake world championships back, but for the most part they at least create a narrative to make the belt seem important. The WWE Universal Championship on the other hand seems to be the Super Heavyweight Championship we never wanted and with Brock Lesnar's dominance of its short history, wondered if we really had. The only thing I can praise about this title is that it at least allows me to revisit what Jerry Lawler previous dominated, the Disgruntled's Poser Championship lineage.

The Disgruntled's Modern Poser Championship

With USWA going out of business in 1997, there was not a championship with any major promotional history that was trying to prove its importance until TNA split from the NWA. With 10 years between the USWA Unified World Heavyweight Championship dissolvement and the establishment of the TNA World Championship, I believe the titles are separate from each other.

As I was verifying all of this, I could actually tie the lineage of the Original Poser Championship with the Real World Championship. If you include ECW as a poser championship from 1994 to 1997. It would end when Shane Douglas's third reign began as ECW World Champion which was then elevated to a Real World Championship when the WCW title was held up after Sting/Hogan and Shawn Michael not being a legitimate heavyweight champion after the Montreal Screw Job.

The Final Disgruntled's Original Poser Champion:
ECW World Champion Shane Douglas (11/30/1997 to 12/28/1997)

Also through my research, I might have found a WWE produced championship that beats TNA to the fake world championship.

The Inaugural Disgruntled's Modern Poser Champion:
WWE's ECW World Champion Rob Van Dam (6/13/2006 to 7/4/2006)
Bryan Danielson became the Real World Champion after Edge cashed in his Money in the Bank contract on WWE Champion John Cena and Bautista forfeited the World Heavyweight Championship. He would go on to defend the ROH Championship till the end of that year. Rob Van Dam won a valid championship in the WWE Championship and was awarded the ECW Championship for doing so.

At no point did the ECW Champion ever get the chance to outshine the other two heavyweight champions in WWE. If only Chris Benoit did not go nuts, perhaps this belt would be more than a prop.
