Maudlin Over: Booze, $6 Dog Poo, Pro-Wrestling Rankings

*Blog post was started on November 10, 2021.

Did everything just slow down for the midweek holiday? At least I know Friday will be a shit show when it comes to working in a bank after a federal holiday.

I do not quite know where my head is at. There was a sense of maudlin coming out of a really fun "NinetyForChill.com - The Podcast" recording with Michael Dubois. Yes, my consumption of alcohol was excessive, but it seems to have stuck around. Is it back to the state of, "It cannot get better than this," from the time of my wrestling weekends.

To top it all off, yesterday, someone had to show the team how to handle some pretty disgusting mangled money. A customer came by expecting miracles after I recovered five dollars for them previously. Like the previous time, their dog had gotten to the cash. What makes this different was that some of it definitely made the trip through the digestive system.

Of course ignorance is feigned by the rest of the team when trying to determine if the bills could be swapped out, but to their credit, I do not think they took the time to investigate the bills that came to them in a Ziploc bag. Does that justify them not seeing the yarn seeming glued to the remains of an Alexander Hamilton?

It all comes back to Anthony Weldon's fool me quote. In this case, when it comes to taking care of this customer, "Fuck me once, shame on you. Fuck me twice, shame on me." I should not be so cruel. The dog is the one who is getting fucked. Keep your cash out of reach.

Aside from work, I wish I had something to complain about. Not being able to get the Shiny Zacian at Champaign's Gamestop is nothing to get overly pissed about. The question becomes, do I drive to Bloomington or Danville to correct this? With Fite TV and Malwarebytes VPN being my primary means of watching "AEW Dynamite", getting home late is not a problem.

Then I stop and recall that it is Veterans Day tomorrow. Can I hold off this trip until tomorrow? Do I go out and further risk depression via holiday drinking? Both gambles could pay off.

Or maybe I just need to stimulate my brain. Netflix DVD of "JFK: The Special Edition" will not watch itself.

With that said, wrestling kind of seems to be in a holding pattern. That is understandable with "AEW Full Gear" being Saturday. The card has to remain set. WWE is stuck in preparing the Survivor Series, so no shocking changes until after that. So I guess before I move on to creating the history for another Disgruntled's Real Championship Wrestling title, lets see how the landscape of wrestling has actually changed.

The Disgruntled's Real Men's Power Rankings (11/10/2021)

The Number 1 Wrestler in the World: Kenny Omega

The Number 2 Wrestler in the World: Trevor Murdoch (Up 1 spot)

NWA World Heavyweight Champion: DRCW recognizes this as a Men's World Championship.

The Number 3 Wrestler in the World: Big E (Up 1 spot)

  • WWE Champion. DRCW recognizes this as a Men's World Championship.
  • He won his championship by cashing in Money in the Bank.
  • He did successfully fend off the challenge of the preceding champion, Bobby Lashley.
  • He did successfully fend off the challenge of 2020's primary champion, Drew McIntyre.
  • If he can successfully get a win over Randy Orton, I could see moving the NWA Heavyweight Championship below it. This would mean he had beaten the three most relevant WWE Champions (sorry Miz)

The Number 4 Wrestler in the World: Shingo Takagi (Up 2 spots)

  • He is the current and third IWGP World Heavyweight Champion. This championship came from the unification of the IWGP Heavyweight Championship with the IWGP Intercontinental Championship. The Heavyweight Championship was regarded by DRCW as a Men's World Championship.
  • He won given a chance to win this championship after Will Ospreay was stripped of it due to injury. Before Takagi won the championship, he had failed to defeat Ospreay for it.
  • Defeating Kazuchika Okada, Hiroshi Tanahashi, and Zack Sabre Jr. are better wins than the played out feuds of Roman Reigns.

The Number 5 Wrestler in the World: Roman Reigns

  • He is in the midst of 400 plus-day reign as WWE Universal Champion (a poser world championship).
  • DRCW Modern Poser Champion
  • He did not use a gimmick like Money in the Bank to win his championship.
  • He did not win a vacated championship.

The Number 6 Wrestler in the World: Sammy Guevara (Up 1)

The Number 7 Wrestler in the World: Damien Priest (Up 1)

  • WWE United States Champion: A belt recognized by DRCW as a secondary championship that makes up some of the OCHO's title history.
  • He won his championship from Sheamus who was having a lackluster reign.

The Number 8 Wrestler in the World: Jay White (Debut)

  • The first NJPW heavyweight Grand Slam Champion (Current NEVER Openweight Champion, former IWGP Heavyweight, former IWGP United States, former IWGP Intercontinental).
  • He may warrant elevating the NEVER Championship into the OCHO (DRCW's Secondary Championship)
  • KENTA had just won his first IWGP Championship, so I am choosing the most champion who has had defended their championship.

The Number 9 Wrestler in the World: Xavier Woods

  • He is the current WWE King of the Ring having won the 8-man Elimination Tourney.
  • He is WWE officially the only king after Shinsuke Nakamura abdicated the crown to promote the tournament.
  • He is still a bigger deal than the Intercontinental Championship, but dealing with Up UP Down Down's content controversy (WWE holding any earnings as part of his downside guarantee) may hurt his TV time.

The Number 10 Wrestler in the World: Bandido (Down 7 spots)

  • ROH World Champion: DRCW recognizes this as a Men's World Championship. If Omega loses his AEW championship to a performer who is inferior to Bandido, the ROH champion can become the Disgruntled's Real World Champion.
  • With ROH's future in question, I do not see their top prize elevating anyone further than 10.
What I should do next week in rank the tag teams in all organizations. I think it will be less maddening than Women's Tag Team Championships. Here is to hoping I come out of next Sunday in a good mood.
