I
kind of want to get cable TV back just so I can have more to frustrate
me. Then again, my coworker with the station next to me is away on their
boyfriend's ex-fiance's daughter wedding this weekend in Florida, so
the past two days have been free of them watching YouTube to reaffirm
their prejudice. This probably means I am just looking for a happy
medium when it comes to aggravation with society. With that said,
leaving the typical Midwest (That is anywhere you have a country music
type scenario involving boyfriends, exes and daughters. Perhaps I should
focus more on the royal family.) might be too liberating for me.
This
leads me to seriously consider forking down money for improv/writing
classes in Chicago despite the three hour commute. It may not work out
since my availability is limited to weekends, but it sounds like the
best of both worlds. At the very least, I am going to be making an
effort to improve things.
Even
thinking about the concept that having a foot in Downstate and a foot
in Chicago as a best of both worlds situation is just an indication that
I enjoy being frustrated. It maybe a martyr complex. My life would have
been totally different if I took Danny Daniels's advice and just moved
along I-80 and just struggle financially when I was at the peak of my
wrestling career. Was it job security or the need to make sure the
junkies would not suffer that led me to where I am at? Judging that I
could have gone bankrupt scrounging to survive to cover living expenses
instead of a two-hundred dollar heroin addiction that was not mine, it
pains me to say that it was probably the latter.
It
seems to be a good enough point to try and transition into my
continuing coverage of the Men's Duos Championship. Once WWE establishes
a second championship and Total Nonstop Action and Ring of Honor had
positions to fill with their belts, being a placeholder champion is kind
of like dying for our sins (and aiding to the cause...for my Nine Inch
Nails fan.).
This
title concept's lineage is approaching a point where titles are nothing
more than props. There is a chance where we will see transitional
champions (thanks John Cena). We are obviously going to see Vince
(McMahon and Russo) ineptitude. It kind of pains me to want to find a
timely slang adjective to document this era in wrestling, but I will
try.
The Hella Good Men's Duos World Championship
The
Internet tells me that "hella" was a nineties term, but I only heard it
used by Eric Cartman before Gwen Stefani sang it and indicated the end
of No Doubt's charm. Hella seems a perfect adjective to relate to the
downfall of something once celebrated.
For
someone who did not know much about the NWA at this time, it would be
easy for me to fill this title history with teams that held the NWA's
top tag team prize. How was I to know that they were genuine teams or
not? When you look up the performer in the team, it is fair to say that
these teams were just thrown together. This works until the best known
unsigned tag team, Christian York and Joey Matthews. We may stumble a
bit when we get to the Brothers of Destruction, but when you look at why
they were a tag team, it is clear that creative had nothing for them.
As for Thompson and Drake (xXx), I decided to put them here because EveryBodyWiki.com took the time to make a page for them. We cannot all make the Wikipedia.

Second City Saints are my best option. I think they were a tag team in

to prevent an end to this lineage. This duo also held the DRCW Real World Tag Team Championship.
